Hi all—
I would like to share the minis I’ve painted since getting back to the hobby since the start of the plague.
Here are some from Khurusan. I’ll post more once I’ve figured out the forum posting. And Alternative Armies.
Cheers,
Eliot

Nicely painted, hard to believe they are 15mm.
-
Those are really impressive, nicely painted and love the overgrown scenery as well :o
-
Hey-
Thanks guys. I think I’m really starting to get painting 15’s.
Here’s a few more. The big guys in orange are from Alternative Armies and the rest from Khurusan. I think big orange guy and tiny shiny lady might be the extreme ends of the scale spectrum. The hoverbus(?) is something I’ve been working on for a bit now. It definitely needs more stuff glued to it.
Cheers

Looking good. I'm particularly interested in that hover bus!
-
Love what you did with the Khurasan cultists!
-
They all look great :)
-
Hello-
Thank you all for the kind words. Here are some of my latest. The bug and his suitcase drone are from Khurasan. He is the captain of my five parsecs crew. His dogs are from Onlsaught. The blue unit is a scientist and his warband. He’ll fit in as a rival somewhere along the way. The troopers are from Rebel and the rest khurasan. Hope you enjoy.

The Titan Marines turned out great!
-
Those do look good. What are you basing with on the bottom two pictures? It looks interesting. The grit looks very fine, perhaps.
-
Hey-
Thanks guys. Cook - the bases are just CA and baking soda. It looks particularly good if you drop other stuff into it before you adding the baking soda, the reaction makes it “grow” over the debris and looks fairly integrated.
Cheers

Interesting... I really can't remember hearing about that before. So you put the baking soda down and then the CA on top? Or the other way round?
-
Cook-
I just put a blob of thicker CA down on the base, settle the mini into it so some of the glue covers up the cast on base trying to avoid the feet, sometimes they disappear into it. Then sticks and rocks etc. After that then a sprinkle of baking soda onto the base. The texture comes from the reaction between the glue and soda not from the soda itself. A little bit of soda gives some nice bumps etc, more soda tends to make cracks in the glue which can also look good. I hope that makes sense.

I'm going to play with it a bit. So thicker CA. I have just the right stuff for that!
-
Great work, Eliot! Really impressive!
-
Eliot! Fantastic brushwork man! :o Hope to see these on the table at some point.
-
Hey- thanks guys.
Here are some better(?) / closer pics of the last post as well as some filthy demons to eat your soul or just rip you limb from limb. Enjoy your weekend!

Those look great close up! :) Nice work.
-
Like the scenery. Caulk mat?
-
:o :o :o
WOW! Your Onslaught Daemons look awesome!!!
-
15's scifi is the best scifi, truly. :)
-
Those demons are lovely. Still can't get over the scenery i've a soft spot for rusted and overgrown ruins and those are some the coolest I've seen. :-*
-
Thank you everyone!
Cook- it’s plywood with dirt, paint and flock and as it’s doubles as my terrain building spot it has loads of glue at one end.
Brummie - The rusted overgrown ruins are about to double in size. I’ll post it once done. Thank you.
And now my latest. This hover bus is kitbashed/scratch built. It has been sitting on my desk forever now. I’ve been glueing stuff to it and ripping it off for months now and I thought I would just throw some paint on it and say done. I feel like I probably went a little overboard with everything and seeing as there was very little fore thought put into it, It’s a couple of mint tins glued together with the cab from an HO scale truck. I think it turned out ok. This was my first attempt at OSL.
C&C welcome.
Hope you enjoy.

Its pretty slick, needs a dusty frontier town to go with it! :o
-
There is a “wizards tower/meth lab/fuel refinery to go with it. Unfortunately it currently looks an awful lot like sqidward’s house from spongebob. There is also a Tesla tank that looks just like a pineapple under the see. I’m not sure what to say about that.
-
Anything goes on the Frontier, no such thing as planning regs... I hope...
-
You are seriously WIERD !!!!
I like that.
-
I feel like Squidward would be down with a meth-lab/wizard's tower! Actually "Merlin's M&M" (meth & methane?) would make a nice little shop name. Or, "Magic, Meth & Methane" like Bed Bath & Beyond? lol
That hoverbus definitely looks like it does time in some third-world (literally) locations.
-
Love the ship - trying to place the bus/coach cockpit - who it's from - it looks very much like one of the ones my late dad sculpted.
-
Cook- of course MM&M. I worked there in high school.
aliensurfer- it is from an HO scale kit I believe. I will dig through my stuff and find it for you.
Cheers

aliensurfer-
Here is the kit the cab came from.
-
Cheers - just curious as he sculpted the masters for quite a few different companies making period buses, coaches, lorries etc, not Airfix though more's the pity
-
Fantastic kitbashing and rust effects on the ship! :-*
