Finally decided to dip my toes into this period. Some Asaltos and International brigade.
-
Another batch of Asaltos completed. This time the figures are the old Anglian models. Good match with the Empress figures. More on my blog https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/search/label/SCW
-
Finally added my first unit for the Nationalist cause. These are some of the Moors grom the Northstar range. More pictues here. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/04/scw-moors.html?m=1
-
Nice work, love the moors.
-
Good to see. I took the plunge in 15mm so we're pretty much painting the same units.
-
Standard bearer added for my International brigade. The figure is from Empress miniatures with a flag from Maverick Models. More on my blog here. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/04/scw-additions.html?m=1
-
Forgot to add pictures of the completed platoon. I've used a few VBCW figures to make up the numbers until my order from Empress arrives.
-
Picked up a BA-6 Armoured car from https://www.paintandglue.co.uk/ excellent value.
-
Added a few more International brigade to the collection. The figures are mainly from Empress. There is also a mortar and the start of some Nationalists.
-
They all look great! Really like the mix of colours on the Moroccans and Internationals!
-
Finally added the last 5 figures from Empress for my Asaltos. I can now concentrate on finishing the International brigades. More here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/04/scw-asaltos.html?m=1
-
A few more additions to complete my 2nd platoon of International brigade. The figures this time are from Northstar. More pictures here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/05/scw-international-brigade.html?m=0
-
I completed another batch of Moors from Northstar to round out my 1st platoon. I can now make a start on a 2nd platoon. There are also some test figures to be used as Carabinieros, not sure I got the uniform exact. More here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/05/scw-moors-ptii.html?m=1
-
Love it!
-
They look great!
-
Very good.
-
Added some armour for my Nationalists. These are 3d printed models from Paint and Glue. Pretty happy with how they turned out. 2 Panzer 1s and a Renault FT-17.
-
I'm about 7 weeks into this project and did a little stock take on my progress to date. I'm hoping to have enough figres done for 3 complete platoons a side by the end of the month. Progress here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/search/label/SCW?m=0
-
Good to see your project progressing well.
-
Great to watch your collection growing. It’s looking good! 👍
-
Cheers guys, still got plenty more to do
-
Great stuff - it's even better to see the forces assembled together!
-
Finally completed the last section for my 2nd platoon of Moors. More here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/05/scw-moors-pt-iii.html?m=1
-
I hadn't intended getting any Moors but seeing yours I think I will. Very nice.
-
Another Panzer 1 added to the collection. This time armed with the Breda 20mm cannon. This is a 3d printed model I picked up
-
Finally added my first AT gun for the Republicans. A 37mm Bofors AT gun from Empress miniatures. I also added the last section to my Nationalist army platoon. More here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/05/scw-artillery-and-infantry.html?m=1
-
A great looking model 8)
-
Yes, they are. I'm going to have to add a couple of Bofors guns to my collection.
-
Another group of Carabinieros and a couple of hasty barricades.
-
I finally got around to completing the last 12 Carabinieros that I needed to bring them up to platoon strength. More here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/06/scw-carabinieros-iii.html?m=0
-
A couple of tanks to support the Republican cause. A T-26 and FT-17. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/06/scw-republican-armour.html?m=0
-
They look fantastic! I love the FT 17 camo and the weathering on the tracks 8)
-
Thank you
-
They've both come out well. Good camo colours too.
-
I finally got around to making a start on some extra forces for this project. Some FAI-CNT militia and Carlists. The figures are all from Empress miniatures. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/07/scw-update.html?m=1
-
Those Carlists are tempting. You must have nearly all of the factions now.
-
Still need some Falangists and Foriegn legion
-
Another Carlist section completed
-
So far I haven't got any Basques at all. Odd, because I do the earlier Carlist Wars. The next stage of the project perhaps.
-
They are lovely figures and well worth collecting
-
I think so too. Just can't work out how it didn't occur to me earlier.
-
A few more Carlists and a Panzer 1 added to the collection. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/08/scw-carlists-part-ii.html?m=0
-
Good stuff. That's a nice Panzer 1.
-
My Carlists finally completed and a light mortar team for support. More details here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/08/scw-carlists-part-iii.html?m=1
-
Couldn't help but add a Pak36 for my Nationalists. Lovely model from Empress miniatures
-
Very nice!
-
Looking good.
-
Excellent stuff, liking those eclectic vehicles too!
-
Managed to get a game in with the collection. Simple infantry engagement to test the rules. More photos here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2021/08/scw-rules-playtest-ptii.html?m=1
-
I eventually got around to adding a HMG team to my Carlists. A simple head swap to one of the crew and swapping out the officer for a Carlist one.
-
It's been a while since I updated this project. I finally got around to adding a handful of figures. I also got my first game in of the year using th Fistful of Lead, bigger battles rules. Report here https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2022/02/el-classico.html
