Title: 28mm Matchlock or flintlock muskets - who makes them?
Post by: Orctrader on April 07, 2021, 09:08:35 PM
I'm doing a very modest conversion on a couple of ECW figures and need two muskets.

I have the ones from TAG, also some plastic possibilities on a Warlord sprue but with hands attached.  Anything suitable I could get where it's just the weapon?

TAG and Warlord’s plastics would have been my first suggestion.

Some of the Warlord metals have separate weapon sets which include matchlocks at least. I think the clubmen sets have these separate metal weapon sets.  Try Warlord customer service - always very helpful.

I wish Warlord did a 17th C weapon sprue like they do several WW2 weapon sprues, it would make their easily convertible plastic figures even better.

Be warned if you order from TAG that they are slow, slow, SLOW, with a side order of SLOW and a generous garnishing of slow. I think it took me five months to get my (very modest) order a couple of years ago, the one and only time I've ordered from them.

That's a surprise.   :?  I've ordered from them a few times and never had any problems.

As I said though, I have TAG muskets and they look fine, but not quite a match for the figures I have.  The Bicorne look closer.
