A quick game of Galactic Heroes with Vodkafan.
I had a Navy squad, sent in as 'Volunteers' to
clear out the Station. They would not however
be averse to picking up some reward for their
endeavours.
James had his Freebooters team. Their aim
today was to get in & out quick & pick up
whatever they could sell/use.
First up we have the 'Infested' hereafter referred
to as the Dead-Pool. Each turn if a joker was turned
up in the deal, a D10 would be rolled & that many
infested would come out of the Dead-Pool.
We would each throw that many D6s in a dice off
to see how many we each would deploy. Choose
a target figure, roll a D6 & that is how far the Infested
is from 'victim' (Not allowed to deploy it nearer to another figure.)
Next the Extermination Drones. If a Joker was drawn & there were
no more Infested in the Dead-Pool, the drones would be released!
Same dice off for control, but they are more deadly (D20s) than the
Infested (D6s)
3rd Picture is an over-view of Station 111.
Top left Personal Jet (James never even went near this expensive item)
Bottom left is the Peace Garden. This was where James opened fire
on the Navy & started a bloodbath. Ironic huh?
Freebooters entered from the bottom of the page (Access Tunnel)
Navy came in from the top. The underground in a travel Pod.
Last picture is a close up of the Personal Jet. "This is what you
could have won"

First picture, from recovered security camera footage, is of the
Free-Booters.
Front (L-R) Capt. Bienvenue, Barch, Doobri.
Back (L-R) Bonk & Ploquim.
Barch is the proud owner of a quite powerful blaster, more of that later.
Bonk just loves tinkering with anything mechanical. In fact if he comes
within 2" of such he must pass a test, or he will start dismantling it.
The team have to squeeze past an abandoned car to progress into
the station. Bonk only just passes his test, much to the relief of the others.
Meanwhile the Navy are moving through, checking rooms & ending various infested (sent my way by James).
Next is what happens when i get some Infested to place. Four close in
on Barch. He tries to fire but the setting is too low, result a very
disappointing, 'Fuuuurtt' . In an effort to help a crewmate, Doobri (an ex mining robot) takes the most direct route, THROUGH the intervening
wall!!!!! He grabs an Infested in each hand & bashes them together,
squelch!

Very cool battle report, models, terrain and scenario. Just out of curiosity, is this the old die cast one?

The Navy starts to move into the Peace Garden.
Two things happen in the same turn.
An Infested comes out of the gloom behind Capt. Cunningham,
but cool as ice 'Killer' Cunningham turns & dispatches it in
hand to hand. At the same time a rating spots movement at
one of the other doors. Infested? Looter? or Innocent?
'Freeze!' he orders, but the Freebooter fires back.
Mistake, big mistake, BIG BIG MISTAKE!
Lots, & I mean lots of return Naval fire & the Freebooters
start to stack up wounds & shock markers.
James decides to make a run for it, taking away their total spoils,
20 credits that Doobri found in one of the rooms.
Alas the way out (the route they came in through) is blocked by
more shambling Infested. 'Leave this to me!' shouts Barch & turning
the power on Betsy, his trusty heavy blaster, up to eleven he takes aim.
'Don't you go failing me this time old girl' he whispers to it & gently
he squeezes the trigger...
KA-BOOOOOMB !!!!!!
Rooky mistake he had overloaded the power AND aimed too close.
The back blast took out the Infested, but also three of the Freebooters.
Only Doobri withstood it enough to stay on his feet. He tried to help his
downed shipmates, but he was now the only target for the Navy.
It would take a lot of fire power to bring him down, but they had a lot
of fire power, and down he went.
'Game over Dude!'
three out of James' five crew now in custody (after a spell in a secure
medical facility). We diced to see if Doobri could conceal the 20 credits,
& he got away with it.
Next game a prison break?

yes Snitchy. I picked up (over about a year) three of them from
Diecast fairs (remember them?) Total cost for the 3 was under £5.
They weren't in the best of shape, but are good enough for my
wargames table.
-
Yup, Buck Rodgers used to fly one.
Looks a great fun game guys..look forward to joining in on one! My accountants would have loved it!
-
That Buck Rogers ship looks ace!
Good stuff.
-
I don’t believe he called the bot “Doobri”!
We have a doobri to operate the telly, sometimes referred to as a doofa......I may have to name my bot “Doofa”.

I saw the buttons on the back and the new wing on the front so I figured it was not 3d printed. Very good find and especially for that price.

Best Floorplans ever! :) looks great!

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
The main thing with our games is to have a laugh.
Which our informal group do seem to manage fairly well.
-
That looks really fun. I love the Judge Dredd tiles!

Wargamers rule number one. 'Never throw anything away'.

Excellent game.
-
Great report. I've still got my old Dredd Citi-blok plans around, too.
Floorplans never get thrown out.
-
Looks like it was a fun game. That Buck Rogers Star Fighter looks brilliant!

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
It is nice to get back to moving the toys around,
throw dice & talk rubbish. It is a good safety valve to reality.

Funny how our rubbish talks always seem to end up with us agreeing to spend some more money on another project down the line! lol

Just happened to catch what some artists were spending on their hobby.
£45 for ONE BRUSH !!!!! & the bloke said it was a bargain.
Given what some people pay on their hobbies, I don't think we do too bad.
Plus selling of some of the less used stuff keeps the outgoings down.

Just wanted to drop in to say that I managed to acquire one of those Buck Rogers starfighters :)
I bought one off eBay right away after seeing this thread, and was shocked to get a little one, about six cm long. There was nothing in the auction to indicate size and I was unaware there was a small and large version lol
A large one arrived today, had to wait a while for a reasonable price :)
Anyway, cool game, thanks for posting :) Always cool to see the Dredd floorplans get action!

Glad you finally got the scale you wanted.
I do hate it when things like that happen.
If I know the item (figures etc) I know it
is being mislabelled, e.g. Mini-Figs being
sold as 28mm!!!!!
But when I don't know AND they don't stick
it next to a ruler, or do something else to help
tell us what size/scale it is, well it is flipping
annoying.
