Title: Musket and Tomahawks 2 SYW European supplement?
Post by: Hunlion on April 14, 2021, 02:25:25 PM
Hi

 I am new to M&T 2. I have a question to ask.

1. Will there be an SYW European Supplement or are these rules covered in the basic game rules?

2. Are there or will be a non-specific period set of playing cards?

3. Would I need to buy the first supplement cards if I wanted to do SYW/ Imagination games?

regards

Don't expect one any time soon as the newest Napoleonic supplement has taken about a year to get to the distributors but I would  suggest that you could modify the existing F&IW supplement to suit your needs.

I modified the 1st Edition to allow me to play King Philip's War, most of the mods were for weapons and melee. I added a troop type for Mounted.
For the SYW you may need  add a couple of Mounted troop types and remove the Indian troop type.

Or, if you have Grenzers, treat them like Indians.

Ok, I am going to get somewhat anal and say that Grenzers didn't fight like Indians; that neither their tactics, nor their cultural traits were even remotely alike.

I’d think the existing ‘Irregulars’ troop type is fine for Grenzers.
Use the Indian cards for cavalry, and it should all work
