As there is a bit of interest in Irish Armies of the Late Medieval and Renaissance period I thought this link would be of interest to those so inclined.
The research is first rate and up to date and there are many useful images too.

I was sufficiently impressed enough to re-paint the helmets and pillion saddles of my 15mm Irish cavalry. I’m pleased with the result and couldn’t help thinking it would look splendid on larger figures.
I’m currently painting Irish and Scots for the advent of the new Bill Hooks publication. The horsemen in the pics will probably get some accompanying mounted attendants.

Interesting site - thanks for the link.
Like your cavalry.

Very cool.

I'm pleased it was of interest.
I think I'll add a tuft or two to the cavalry bases.

Bookmarked, thank you. Nice looking figures, colourful.

Thanks mmcv. I've added some grass tufts to the bases.

A very interesting site, and I like how you have represented the leather in 15mm, not quite sure how I’ll try this in 10mm...

Thanks Fred, 10mm would be a challenge. It's quite tricky in 15mm.

Very helpful. Thanks.
