Hello
I'd like to buy a ruleset on Caliver Books to be shipped to France.
Do you have any experience with this shop and additional fees and VAT since Brexit for packets sent to Europe mainland?
Thanks for your replies
Pascal

No VAT on books in the UK

Unless the order is particularly bulky or heavy and requires a courier service, Dave Ryan normally ships items via Royal Mail, with La Poste taking over when the parcels reaches France. Unlike other European postal systems, La Poste does not bother to collect VAT prior to delivery, which means you won't be paying anything. Since January, I have placed three orders with Perry Miniatures and two with North Star : all five shipped via Royal Mail and were delivered free of charges and VAT by la Postel (I am based in Paris).

I have ordered 1 rulebook this morning . I will let you know how it goes.

Gents, can I ask you to post in English please for the benefit of other members that might be interested in the subject matter :)

Ah sorry about that, that was just a quick aside. Nothing terribly important was stated : it mostly boils down to "wait and see".

Hi chaps
we have shipped nearly 5,000 packages into Europe this year and vert very few people are being hit by Vat and handling. I Suspect it's because we use Royal Mail and then your local over worked postal systems . We do get some unexplained returns but only a couple a week. No reason why they were picked out. Perhaps customers were not at home

Wonder how it will go after July 1st. That is when things will become interesting.
