Koppi I agree about Napoleonics being peculiar in the way people are attracted to either very large battles or skirmishes and nothing in between, and that both points of view have merits.
I like to look at pictures and reports of the bigger battles, but as I like games I can play in half a day or less and am a slow painter, it's the smaller games for me if I am to game Napoleonics at all.

I think the period lends itself well to games at every scale - army, corps, divisional and skirmish, and I have rules that work well for all of those.
