All entries are top jobs, difficult to choose :)
-
Well bollocks! I knew there'd be hard choices, but come on!
Wonderful work, all of you, and congratulations on all of the hard work; marvelous entries all!! 8)
-
More difficult choices, great work everyone!
-
Well done everyone, stunning work all round 8)
-
Tough round :'( :'( :'(
Greatwork :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I assure you the groups are randomize, but I cant hide that I am, like a vulture, looking forward to an ugly rift in the Maclachlan family >:D
-
No ugly rift, it has happened before in previous competitions on the LAF
And anyway he is shit at throwing dice :D
But we also get two finished terrain pieces everyone else only gets one lol lol lol
-
All great entries:
AndyM: We could all see from the WIP thread that this was going to be spectacular but the colours chosen and flame effects really make it pop!
Wirelizard: Very natural looking, the time spent studying real landscapes clearly paid off, and yet the variation in levels will make it really interesting to play over. And that pool really is very, very dark.
Sinewgrab: I love the contrast of the dusty dry pink earth and the glistening turquoise water. It is really interesting to see how terrain with so little elevation can be so colourful and dramatic.
Has.been: such a bold, original and imposing build! And yet sad and rather spooky too.
Gamer Mac: If sometimes it is necessary to destroy a town in order to save it then your town is pretty comprehensively saved! It looks great and will no doubt see plenty of use on the gaming table.
Well done all!

Wow, amazing entries here. I would have loved to have seen a skeleton in the roller coaster high up seat but that may have been too cheesey :) Nice work you lot.
-
Brilliant stuff gents 8)
-
Too close to call 8)
-
Very difficult to vote on this one. Lots of solid builds and pretty terrain.
-
Oh that's very difficult - some lovely builds there, and they all have merit.
-
absolutely amazing work. just in awe as usual
Well done all of you.
-
Hugely difficult to vote on this. Well done to all of you.

Thats just nasty! lol Trust me, if we don't argue about Garden Room dice force fields(they should be outlawed) we won't argue about anything! ;)
Fantastic entries guys. Absolutely phenomenal! I would be happy to own any one of these!
Wirelizard-I love the stone work. That fact you added some modularity in there, just takes it to the next level!
Sinewgrab-I would love to see this one dressed up for game, trees and shrubs and all. The water looks great!
Has.been- WOW- I didn't see that coming! Great up-cycling. You have a good eye for re-use of old materials!
Colin-Eh...not bad! ;) Only kidding Bro, thats brilliant! Top work! You always sing a lot of other modellers praises, but that is up there with the best of them! :-*
Good luck gents! Thats some amazing entries to be grouped against! :o
-
it would be nice if the top two in each heat go forward. There are three here which stand out and it is a pity that we have to choose only one. There are very few votes separating them.
-
Good luck to everybody in this, a lot of work has gone into them.
I would have loved to have seen a skeleton in the roller coaster high up seat
I did think about it, but just sold all my plastic Skellies recently to two
fellow LAFers.
Difficult to show detail on just one picture, but after the competition
I plan to put pictures on my 'Stuf Wot I Dun' thread

Hope to get to use it in a Zombie Game.
-
Look forward to seeing more close ups then. Should be great in a zombie game. Now I'm thinking of the rest of the fair ground!

Don't even go there Beefcake!
I have yet to figure out how/where to store the Roller-Coaster. :?

This exactly.
A number of years ago I toyed with the idea of building a fair ground after getting hooked on
Left4Dead. Has.been has definitely got the feel for this sort of theme.

If my entry where in this group, I'd have to get negative marking!
This is one tough group here. The rollercoaster idea is super cool!
-
All of them is great, difficult to choose one, as usual.

Go for it! There is probably room under the dining room table....
Fantastic work all around.
-
The level of awesome is so high, I actually feel embarrassed to have two votes when the rest of the awesome is on display.

That's full, but Syinx, if you were to buy more of my stuff... :D
-
Some really fantastic work by everyone. The difference between last WIP and the final photo is amazing; you all should be proud of your work. Hard choice to make - wish we could vote for more than one entry.
AndyM - great color choices, superb work
Wirelizard - well done making it applicable across variety of games/settings - two things i’m always trying
Sinewgrab - large and expansive, no way to avoid it; daunting undertaking well executed
Has.been - great creativity and fantastic finish
Gamermac - impressive amount of tiny bits - diorama level work
-
Great stuff! It is unfair, I agree, that only one progresses. I'd love to see two from each group advance. :-*

Well done to everyone in this group. Like with the others I enjoy seeing everyone's individual interpretation of this year's theme. The standard for this group is high as well. I like how several have taken on larger builds, too.
-
Congrats to all participants - excellent work. Thank you for participating, sharing and inspiring.

This race has been fascinating as the field is so tight!

Yup, this is by far the closest of the Round One groups, which is interesting.
I don't think I'm going to pull ahead but the fact that the lead is so narrow is very flattering given how spectacular the rest of the entries are!
-
Photo finish. Congrats, winners and runners-up and brave participants in general. :)
-
Well done everyone on your entries, a really close group, and congrats to Andy 8)
-
This was by far the hardest group to be competing in; such awesome pieces in here that would have deserved at least another round. And it was all so close too!
Congratulations Andy, for winning out against such stiff competition, it must have been nerve wracking for sure.
But kudo's to the others as well; the level of excellence in this group was quite impressive!
-
That was close :'(
Well done little bro :D ;D
Now we can post pictures of the battletech game where I kicked your butt lol

Nail biting finish, it’s a shame only 1 can move on. Congrats to andy for a marvelous entry. The others are equally deserving of recognition for their high level of work.
-
And as per yesterday we have, by the closest of margins, a winner:
ANDY M!
Congratulations!
You have until tomorrow to submit a new photo if you like!
-
Wow, that was super tight!
-
Congratulations, Andy. Well done.
-
Congratulations to all the the winners & good luck
in the next round.
As I am out I have taken the opportunity of putting
some pictures on my threat.

Crazy tight group and I'm incredibly flattered to be in third by three votes! Congrats to AndyM for squeaking through to Round Two!
I'll post the full size fully finished photos a bit later this week in my working thread for folks to see, and I'll probably post the entire gallery of build and finished photos over on my blog at some point too. Crazy busy this week and away on holidays all of next week, though, so we shall see...
