Hi all
My name is Tim and I'm a paintoholic........
I have been lurking around this forum for quite a while and thought it was probably time I joined.
Quick Bio....
As a nipper I used to make Airfix kits by the ton. I was always drawn to the figures, and the discovery of the usual books in the library. became quite active as an historical gamer and painter back in the day. I gave this up as I gradually migrated to model railways. after a few years I then decided to learn guitar, and stopped modelling once I joined a band. A holiday in Japan restarted my interest in military modelling. and over the last few years I have been drawn back into the gaming world. Retirement to a run down cottage, and Lockdown, has put a kibosh on face to face gaming recently, but I expect to get some games in soon.
My current interests are 20mm CoC, for which I have German and a British Paratroop forces, 28mm Frostgrave, which I have built up over lockdown, and 28mm Oathmark, which is my current painting jag. Other ongoing projects are 28mm Sudan and 15mm ACW and whatever seems interesting.
Anyway, thanks to the mods for sorting my application. I am glad to be aboard and I will post some intro pictures soon.....
Cheers
Tim

Hi Akula
Thanks for the welcome. I'm trying to work out how to add pictures at the moment....when I crack it I will post some images. Is there a sticky somewhere that describes how to do this?
-
Er, I wonder how I did that ? Anyway, that is a Goblin archer unit for Oathmark....
This should be a Heliograph unit for the Sudan.....
-
More Goblins.....this time a spear unit....and hopefully some of the Oathmark Elvis wolves....

Hi Tim and welcome!
Which part of Somerset?
(The finest county of the UK, alongside Sussex, and a place I keep trying to get back to if only work would move me there! lol)
-
Just to the left of Bruton……looking down. Basically between Bruton and Frome, so only just over the border. Cheers for the welcome.
-
Welcome and a lovely spread of figures 8)
-
You are especially welcome with well painted Oathmark figures lol

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps. No probs about the Oathmark figures Nick, they were nice sculpts and great fun….there were a few Perry’s in there as well, mind….

Welcome aboard! Nice looking minis, as well!

Welcome aboard. Those are lovely figures btw.

Welcome to the fourm. Nice figures by the way.
We seem to be relative neighbours as I am just across the border in Warminster.

Sorry guys, only just seen these! Still getting used to the forum :o
Thanks Capn, glad you like them….
Thanks Sterling, nice welcome.
Thanks Hu……Warminster isn’t far at all. I have a good mate that lives there, he’s been my gaming oppo for many years. We’ve attended the Frome club a couple of times until it got kiboshed by Covid.
