I’m going to get through the backlog of various fantasy projects I have started and shelved. So this thread will consist of multiple projects from multiple manufacturers.
First up are Reaper Miniatures Heraldic Knights. I plan to use them in some adventure gaming, possibly Rangers of Shadow Deep or I have some ideas kicking around for homegrown rules.

Great job killshot. Love the colour choices 8) 8)
Would you happen to know how they scale against the old Citadel 80s ranges - 'Heroic Fighters of the Known world', 'Lords of Battle', C01 Fighters & Paladins?
Thank you! Unfortunately I do not, however these are pretty massive figures. More along the lines of heroic 28mm (closer to 32mm). Hopefully that helps.

Great brushwork mate!
-
Fantastic...bloody fantastic!!!

Stunning paintjob! Im amazed.
-
Nice work. I have some of those old Citadel figures mentioned and I think they would be dwarfed by these.
-
Lovely job 8)

Thank you everyone! They were really fun to paint, I only wish they had some mounted options as well.

That’s what I figured as well.
Completed these Poor Fellows today for a commission. They’re painted to match some Greyjoy figures and will be used as Iron Isle Smallfolk.

Cracking work on the heraldic knights from reaper. I’ve always thought they looked neat and would make for a fun little side project.

Greyjoy characters, I stuck as close to the character cards as possible with the exception of the one with the two axes. He was requested to match the other troops.

Also, I jumped on the Heroquest Kickstarter last year and have started on the figures. First up are some of the Abomination figures.

More Greyjoy Troops from A Song and Ice and Fire. I went with a reverse color scheme to give a little variety.

I rebased these Conqueror Models Dwarfs on 25mm rounds. I have another set to rebase and then I’ll add some more for Dragon Rampant and Oathmark.
Also for Dead-Cember are all the undead characters and models from Heroquest.

That unit looks grand - another fine addition to your dwarf army.

Thank you! I need to get some more ordered the keep it going.
I’ve worked on some Frostgrave Barbarians with some simple kitbashes with some Oathmark Human Light Cavalry heads and weapons a long with some Mantic Miniatures Northern Alliance Troop bits.
Also I’ve started some Barbarian cavalry, Oathmark Light Cavalry with Barbarian heads and weapons.
-
Looking good!
-
Great work. The barbarian kit is pretty awesome - my buddy is building a fantasy warband for a game we play, and he's done some great stuff. Yours look excellent.
-
These give me some "Mabden" vibes from "The Swords of Corum" comics.
-
Thanks everyone!
I completed some more Frostgrave barbarians armed with two-handed weapons. A few head and weapon swaps with the Frostgrave Knights kit and Oathmark Light Cavalry kit.

Two more barbarian cavalry.

Some GW Empire Knights finished up! I’ve always been a huge fan of the Voland’s Venetors Dogs of War color scheme and decided to use it here.

Finished up the remaining barbarians for my Dragon Rampant army. Mostly made of Northstar Barbarians with some knights bits added in.

I’ve been wanting to paint up some Fireforge Northmen for a while and finally picked up a box. The hero is a Frostgrave knight body, fireforge head and an animal pelt from the GW Empire knights sprue.
And finally, some Greyjoy figures!
-
Those look excellent all around! Nice job blending the parts together in the kitbashed figs, and the colour palettes for each group look good.
-
Greyjoy Character Set #2, definitely some interesting figures in this box. I’ve really been enjoying painting these ASoIaF figures.

good work. I like the barbarians for DR

Thank you!
Finally got my first game of Dragon Rampant played, barbarians with a giant vs wolf riders backed up by trolls. It was a blast, the goblins overwhelmed the barbarian right flank but the giant rampaged through the trolls and shaman on the left flank. It ended with a goblin victory after the loss of the barbarian general.

I really enjoyed this game and it has rekindled my desire to actually push miniatures around and roll dice. I think it’s the fact that I put together two armies relatively quickly. The goblin wolf riders was a single box, 3 musicians, a shaman and the champion is all it took to get a fighting force together. I already had the trolls but we could’ve had a great game without them.
-
I really love these CMON miniatures Hedge Knights for the A Sing of Ice and Fire line. They’re for house Stark and Tully respectively:

Nice looking models. Your painting on them looks great!
-
Great painting, and unit building. I really like your painting style, somehow both bright and muted at the same time.
The GW knights at the top though do seem to be showing their age as a kit compared to the newer figures further down the page (or perhaps it is just the chunky GW style).
-
Hedge knights look fantastic, well done!
-
Back to working on more Heroquest figures now that the Frozen Horror expansion has been released.
First you is the eponymous Frozen Horror:

Those look quite nice. I need to paint up my vintage set (among many, many other projects).

A pair of amazing Golden Company elephants from CMON miniatures. Absolutely fantastic figures to paint!

Sorry I missed this first post last year, but those are fantastic!
-
Spiffing painting, looking fab. One thing that will help the look of your game a lot is to get a mat, either buy one or perhaps just go to town on an old sheet with various green hues if budget is restricted.
-
Those elephants are lovely, and the paintjob is excellent. Now where could I fit two elephants into a project....
-
Excellent work on the elephants!
-
Very cool. Lovely bunch of minis since the last time I looked.

Thank you, and thanks for the tip.

I know what you mean! They could use a howdah and easily be used in an Easterling army.
Excellent work on the elephants!
Thank you, they figures are so nice they almost painted themselves
Very cool. Lovely bunch of minis since the last time I looked.
Thanks!

Great use of those old GW shields.
Thanks, I happened to have found more but forgot to count to see if I have enough for more infantry or if cavalry will be next for them.
