Both are superb examples of the modellers art.  Very difficult decision.

BTW sorry I couldn't get a new picture in on time! After this competition is over I may try and get some glory shots!

Thanks Andy, I’m trying not to look at the voting as frankly I think any of the final 4 can win this now...

I love the bold choice of colours on your build, am sure it will look really striking in a game.

Impressive entries both -  and despite being so different I feel there is an interesting common thread running between these two beyond simply being "Difficult Terrain".  Both of these can be seen to represent the aftermath of conflict and although the colour palette used and technology represented are vastly different they both have that melancholy air of a battle lost (or perhaps even won).

Congratulations AKULA!

And awesome work, both of you! There are so many things to love about either entry. The Foss paintscheme is gorgeous on the Battlemech Strike Carrier (Much better than the camo job I proposed. Hey; I was being strategic ;) ) and it is an impressively large piece of terrain too!

AKULA's killing fields are also so well executed. I'm still at awe of the amount of green stuff work that went into these pieces! The subdued, cold paintjob absolutely adds to the overall aesthetic, which you luckily did not diminish by adding a sea of blood. Instead, you managed to get just right balance between dead people (and horses) on the one hand and rocks and soil on the other, all in gloomy, wintery colours.

At the start of this year's BSC, I knew this entry would go far, and it did not disappoint. But now I'm going up against it next! lol

Well done Matt. What a well deserved win! I didn't stand a chance! Great idea with great execution, mixed in with great details! 8)

For me, I'm just happy I got a new bit of terrain and it got me off of my backside, taking out the bits box and doing sonething again!

Congratulations, AKULA. The people of LAF obviously have a taste for carnage and bloodshed.

Andy, too little gore in an otherwise gore-geous build (sorry, I always do this, make bad jokes  to alleviate an otherwise tense situation...)
