Title: Tenoch/Slann Forced Labour Troops (updated 24/01/23)
Post by: einarolafson on July 15, 2021, 02:37:40 PM: I haven't posted here in quite a lot of time. I thought it wouldn't hurt to show some of the latest things I have painted for my own collection. I'm really enjoying painting this figures, they are part of the fantastic Tenoch range from The Little Soldier Company (https://thelittlesoldiercompany.co.uk/the-tenoch). I put together the bunch I have finished and took this scenic shot. I'm working on a few more warriors and some characters. It's a mix of Tenoch and Enhanced Warriors figures.

Have you seen Tim Prow's Diehard Miniatures stuff? He's done a few other old-style Slann minis, some pure fantasy and others with obvious scifi elements.

What's this!!?? Two entries in the same week after years of silence!! Some more The Little Soldier Company Tenoch (https://thelittlesoldiercompany.co.uk/the-tenoch) figures (or Slann as some people call them). They are Tenoch warriors, several of them in the same pose but I modified them and slightly converted them. The jungle is getting dangerous!!

Yes, I know them thanks. I'll get some of them at some point. I think there is a place for variety in the army list.

Excellent paint detailing too.

I think he is quite a good match for the previous Tenoch/Slann I have been painting lately. I'll use him as another Slann Hero.

I covered my back by calling him Tenoch/Slann lol. Don't worry, as soon as I can I'll get more "true like" Tenoch ;). I've got a plan, but it will be a very slow one, but I'll get somewhere step by step.

Someday I hope to collect a few of the various toad warriors - I have a few late-80s slann and want to get enough figures for some small units. I loved Slann from the beginning of my wargaming with WH 3rd and the orange book. I never had slann in my collection though. Maybe now...

I always considered the original Slann much more interesting than GW's later "Lizardman" type Slann.
