Much better than the last two years but room for improvement I thought.
My day at the show is here:

nice pic
looks like lybia 1941?
-
1942 apparently :)
in 54mm scale

I must say it was cetainly busier than last year and you made a hell of a lot more than me on the bring and buy :D
I took my camera but didn't really see anything that shouted out 'WOW', there were good games there but nothing to inspire that I haven't seen before, and I do have a paticular eye (and a preference for a paticular type of game). This not being a detrimental comment on the games that were displayed of course :) I know how much work that goes into sorting them out.
cheers

You might want to edit that picture, mate... The wee tank on the right is showing a bad thing.
Otherwise, great report, thank you!
-
Well spotted Bob, all fixed now.
Unfortunately former user and I both look like idiots now :D
-
No worries. :)
Oh, and well done on the bring and buy! That was some result.
-
Nice show review.
Looking forward to a review of the sable brushes you buy. What brand are they by the way?
-
never mind, I'm used to look like an idiot ;)
the other pic is even better
what did I miss in the first one? for 1942? tghought I was rather fit in WWII
why don't you just sploch some red over the bad thing and repost it?
54 mm - wow
-
The sign next to the game said 1943, I don't think they're that bothered though, could just as easily be 1941.
I got my brushes from Rosemary and Co.

... I got my brushes from Rosemary and Co. ...
It' same brand as me then :D

That Rosemary is fast cornering the entire wargames figure painting market! :)
Lovely report Paul. Thanks. You picked out some really interesting things (love those Wattle & Daub buildings), and I love the asides about the games ;)

Thanks Paul, great report as always. I did like the photos of the Mediterranean Village and fieldworks with their multi story buildings. I'll have to earmark them for future reference.
One question; what scale was the demo game, "Peace for Galilee?"

IIRC it is 28mm or rather 1/56th I think it was at Salute and very nice too

Great write up Paul.
I agree it was much better than the last couple of years and seemed to be very busy. I spent more time there than in previous years, but managed to keep the wallet intact, too many temptations though...

Sorry, but the cars are way too modern. And isn't that a chieftain tank burning in the streets? And the one in the back loks like a T-55 or something along that line...

misunderstanding here
the first picture posted was about a NA WWII scenario and was replaced by the new one due to a certain flag displayed on top of a vehicle
you can find the original one in the game report through the link

see former user, I knew this was going to happen :D

never mind, we can bear it like men ;), and furthermore, it is educating for users who tend to jump into threads without reading the original topic ;)
