Excellent work all round 8)
-
Both very impressive, and more so with the "in use" look.
-
Both entries worthy of a place in the final,it's sure to be very close :)
-
Very difficult choice as they are both worthy finalists for sure.
In the end, simply because it appeals to my somewhat warped view on the world, I went with the Feast, suitably horrifying ground that I would not like to negate!
-
A tricky choice indeed. Well done, guys.
-
2020? Boy it has been a long year. :'(
;)
lol
-
A difficult choice… as each stage has been in this. So much great work done. Deepest of respect to each participant.
-
Good grief, this is a tough choice. Really good to see them both in use. Inspiring!
-
Seeing them in full dramatic situations is just WOW! Both deserving to win it’s hard to make a decision. Both of you made stunning pieces.

Didn't even notice myself.

Fabulous job, both of you :-*
-
Real top quality!
:-* :-*
Either would be a worthy winner but I can only vote once.....
-
Wonderful photos both. Real tough competition and kudos to both.
-
Wow! Fantastic entries, both of you! With all the bells and whistles, these are both stunning! :o :o :o Next level stuff!! :-* :-* :-*
-
Fabtastic new pictures from both of you!
-
Looking ace with the extra figures roaming the battlefield and cars zooming around raising hell. Good work both!
-
well done to both participants -= they are equally fantastic
-
You guys are making this too difficult for us poor plebs to choose.
Cracking new photos :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Either would be a worthy winner. Tough choice.
-
I’ve looked several times and it keeps getting harder to decide. I wish it could be a tie so I didn’t have to pick only one
-
Why only 69 votes?
-
Why only 69 votes?
Unfortunately it is not unusual.
-
I fingure that if we keep adding to this thread maybe people will look in and vote
-
I wonder if some members lose interest if their favourite piece doesn't make it to the final?
-
Why only 69 votes?
I have only just voted as I was having difficulty deciding! Both are great in really different ways, and the latest set of photos really bring them to life.
-
Why only 69 votes?
Maybe because it’s a new topic instead of the announcement thread which has more followers. Maybe the news blurp should say ‘final round’. Maybe it’s hard to choose between them. But it’s pretty poor sportsmanship to not vote if your entry/favorite didn’t make it.
-
There in lies the problem, lack of participation . Whilst the Forum has thousands of members,I dare say only about 200 are active.
Endeavour to persevere!
-
What if I just can't decide? lol
"Where's the both button" may be a cliché so I won't use that one. So let's say instead that I may be able to determine (through my subjective filter) an entry which is more detailed, more elaborate, more innovative, somehow prettier, thematically more appealing, a better match to the difficult terrain description, or simply more to my taste. The issue is just that neither of the entries ticks a crushing majority of those criteria so how to weight them?
The feast for crows is so precisely to the point that it could be a book cover and GRRM would probably approve.
The overpass is a brilliant concept and contains loads of clever building tricks to make it feel alive, just like you were in there watching the action.
And personally, I've been collecting and building both grim fantasy and post-apoc. Do I have a favourite theme there? Hardly. :)
Well, alea iacta est. Voting empty is for wimps. If in doubt, use a D6 or whatever. lol

Congratulations Akula! The last round is now closed and you have the votes!
-
Congrats :)
Quite a show this year!
Good work all :)
-
Congrats akula on winning, but that daeothar was equally deserving. Stunning work from everyone. It was a pleasure competing with you all. Looking forward to next time.
-
Congratulations AKULA! 8)
A well deserved win and your photography was absolutely on point. It was an honour to be competing against you, but in the end, the best man has definitely won :)
And as I saw the writing on the wall, I took the liberty of playing the inaugural game of Gaslands on my piece of terrain this evening.
The difficult terrain part of my entry (or Treacherous Terrain, as it's called in the game), made one of my cars accumulate an extra 2 hazard tokens, but you'll be glad to hear that I at least won that game... :D
-
Thanks everyone, much appreciated :D
Congratulations AKULA! 8)
A well deserved win and your photography was absolutely on point.
Cheers mate, your photo composition in Round 2 was my favourite picture of the contest, I loved the detailing...the bolts...the graffiti...the weathering, and the sign :-* :-* :-*
I was fortunate in a way that my choice of entry lent itself to a mass battle scene at the end.
Am glad you’ve already got a game in on your terrain, makes it all worthwhile
