Title: Saratoga batlefield - how is it?
Post by: vtsaogames on July 20, 2021, 06:22:02 PM
The last time I went was back in the 90's. I know the visitor center is closed due to Covid for the rest of the year. I am thinking of heading up there in the Fall, around the time the 2nd battle was fought. Is the field still in good shape? It was a good visit back in the rearly 90s. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Same here - I think they were in the process of trying to "reproduce" more of the battlefield as it might have looked in 1777.  It would be interesting to see what it looks like now.

It's been about 3 years since I was there but I thought it was very well done. There were markers for where the troops were and some information on British positions down by the river. I say go visit.
