Obviously it's another flavor of the Lion Rampant system, and that it's coming out from Osprey as a hardback, but do we have any idea what the changes are to the system?
-
I had heard this was a possibility, but nothing definite. Where did you find a definite reference?

I don't know where Jack heard it specifically, but there's this announcement from about 5 months back:

Agreed there isn’t much to go on there, but thanks for that.

Sounds mighty interesting! 8)
30 to 50 models is right in the Goldy Locks Zone for me. A right possibility to finally field those RT and 2nd ed 40K armies again! Or those Warzone ones...
Looking forward to it!

Hmm, I downloaded the free version of these rules ages ago, had no idea they were going to be official, thought they were just a cool fanboy thing.
Interested to see how they are different/expanded on.

I’m not sure that the free ‘fan’ rules by Richard Cowan are still readily available, nor indeed if I have a current copy, but they read well and I look forward to playing them.

The free version by Richard Cowan is still available here.

That’s where I got it from, so I’m current. Cool, thanks. 8)

We'll put out more info closer to publication, but are waiting on Osprey to give the go-ahead for us to share details. Although the rules are based on Richard's original supplement, we've worked together to push things further than shown in that early version linked above. I always wanted a Sci Fi version (but never expected to achieve it).

Thanks for the update 8)

Also bearing in mind that 2nd edition HC Lion Rampant is due and that may come out before Xenos, or maynot. Dan wasn't able to confirm.
Also to manage expectations it sounded like a release very late this year or easterish next year, this was referenced in a a thread when speculating about Lion Rampant 2nd ed a few months back that Dan also very kindly gave some clarification.

Xenos Rampant is a 2022 publication, but I don't know whether it comes before or after the new Lion Rampant. I'm guessing after, but don't know for sure. Xenos Rampant will be a hardback book, just like the new LR edition.
