While in Micheal's picking up a paper crimper for making some rusty corrugated tin shanty shacks, I found what may be an excellent material for making chain link fences.

The size of the links look pretty good next to a 28mm mini.
And at less than $5 dollars a packet (I picked up two), the price is great too.
I love it when a plan comes together. :D

Come on, guys.
lol Not even a "Hey, Warren. That's neat." or a "We knew about that stuff for years, you goofenheimer." lol
I thought I hit the motherload in fence material.
-
I have some of that somewhere as well, purchased for the same purpose - so if I say 'good find' then it sounds like I'm saying it about myself as well.
Oh, what the hell - good find! Let's see some fencing!
-
Lol. I thought it sounded cool... was just waiting to see the finished product. ;)
-
Thanks, guys. ;)
Give me about a week on the fencing pictures. I must be doing about 5 or 6 projects right now. ;)

I want to see your crimper is action too! I have been thinking about getting one myself!

That is a good find. :) I've got some fencing sections almost done using it. I got it at Hobby Lobby.

I'd guess it would probably be cheaper to buy the mesh they sell for bodyworkrepairs at autopart shops? It looks exactly the same...

How much does it cost there?
That's a butt-kicking fence you got there, Commander Vyper!

I've crimped some index cards... They're about the right size of corrugated tin sheets that I've seen. I'm going to be doing my building with those for the most part. I hope it will make it look more patch-worked & primitive looking.

Plus the other 10-12 that you want to keep secret. ;)

0,91£ (~1,50$) for a 10"x8" sheet:

But at only a third of the size of your sheets, it seem like the price is about the same o_o

Thought this might be some help to you too:
Did these two urban fencing sections, got about six more to do, some again to go inbetween buildings and others a la left for dead: at the table edge/road edge to close off areas:

Various types of plasti-rod and I and H sections, mesh that I've had for a while. Not ment to be perfect but will do the job.

Very quickly drybrush/blended up with boltgun metal then a wet blend of camo green/beastial brown, highlighted with khemri what ever it is and a mix of sepia/dark brown citadel washes.
Came out alright I reckon, will add a few strategic hand prints on the door knob and a maybe a poster on it too.

More pics on my Urban Zombie board thread if your interested Paul, plus I've used those resin bits I got at Salute and made a little shed/garage that I'll post up later.
