Title: Celtiberians
Post by: James Morris on July 30, 2021, 08:14:33 AM
Just finished off a load of 28mm Celtiberians (four years after I started them lol).  These are mostly Crusader Miniatures with a handful of plastics making up the numbers.  This is  a rather lovely range tucked away in the Spanish codes for Crusader on the Northstar website with a variety of uses for this period https://www.crusaderminiatures.com/list.php?cat=1&sub=3&page=1 (https://www.crusaderminiatures.com/list.php?cat=1&sub=3&page=1)

They're on a variety of bases (1/2/3 models) so that I can use them for battle and skirmish games.  Shields are by hand.  There's a load more pics and words over on the blog here:

Very nice.  I like the shields.  Crusader do a lot of nice ancients figures.  I like the Celts too.

Great effort on these shields. Like them 'barbarians' less uniformed, but that's up to taste, of course.  :)
Good to see some Crusader models, too, very nice ranges.

They were likely a lot more uniform than given credit for.

Very cool.    Like the colour scheme and mixing of different  manufacturers.

Lovely work - four years obviously a good brewing time. As has been said above - great control / steady hand to do the shield designs. Great looking figures - thanks for sharing.

Brilliant painting James, could not agree more about Crusader miniatures, they are great sculpts and at £10 for 8 figures in 2021, you cannot grumble at the prices!
