I'm looking at these mins which appear very nice
https://two-idiots-printing-service.myshopify.com/collections/caballero-miniatures
I've not bought 3D printed minis before so a bit skeptical.
Can anyone who has them advise on the quality of the sculpts and resin ? Are there a lot of plastic struts that need cleaning of and if so does this damage the mini much ?
Thx :)

Lord Marcus (https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=13882) on here is one of the owners, I believe. He can certainly help to answer your questions about supports, etc. and might be able to provide photos of the actual finished product rather than just the 3D renders.

Loads of painted examples on the F***book page and group (other social networks are available).
They look :o :o :o :o :o and have me gagging for 3D printing.

Not from this company, but I bought some 3D printed 28mm fantasy figures through a UK company on Ebay and they were not too fragile and already cleaned up, no supports or anything. Just ready to paint.

Mogsymates.net paints up a couple on his blog and he is well impressed.

Thanks. I've ordered some so I'll update w my impressions later.

The mini's are great. The best and cheapest solution in the long run is to buy a 3D resin printer, but if you want to order and don't live in the UK or US I suggest to buy them from https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057271583554.
Here is Alexander the Great (28 mm) sculpted by Caballero Miniatures, which will be available soon at Studio Historia.

He will be availabe in 3 variants. Without helmet, with helmet and plume and with helmet without plume. I have have no idea how he will scale with Victrix miniatures or other miniatures.

This might help.

They do look rather good.

I can't wait to hear more :D

Oof. Beautiful mini, but unfortunately I can't really justify one dollar per millimeter for just one miniature right now lol

Yes the price on eBay is quite high. I've ordered some other Cabellaro figures via the TwoIdiotsPrintingService
https://two-idiots-printing-service.myshopify.com/
They are more affordable.
-
Well, hopefully the price will start going down once they sell a few :D

I've been following Studio Historia on Facebook lately and it looks like they're working on some great stuff, including a great looking Julius Caesar and Macedonian phalangites. But again, I just can't justify the cost right now.

I've been ordering from TIPS since the spring, but mostly order them "super-sized" to suit 60mm XForce figures. I do have a few 28 mm versions and have no complaints. About either size, actually.
The only thing is that, to keep the prices down, YOU have to do the clean-up of supports, etc. So there is more work than if you bought on ebay or etsy. Of course, when you are buying those sites that time and labour cost is built into the price!

I would be totally fine with that, but unfortunately I don't see any of the ancients on the TIPS website (yet?)

Ask and maybe they will acquire the rights to print(?)
