I have no modern obviously Russian figures much less "winter" ones but in the plastic mountain I found some Frostgrave Cultist bodies and lots of spare weapons from various sets of plastic figures. I set to with glue and the bits boxes and found that the arms from Warlord Games Bolt Action Germans fitted well. Why German WW2? The Sturmgewehr 44s were close eniugh to AK-47s to pass the "OK at 3 feet" test. Equipment, packs, entrenching tools and other stuff came from Zombie survisors, WW2 Germans, Russians and British while heads came fro Russian and one from the Cultists.
The result is a small squad of eight semi-uniformed ragged soldiers that I will probably use as a group of ex-soldiers or mercenaries or deserters or ...

Those look excellent! I wouldn’t have thought of using the Frostgrave cultists for modern or post-apoc figs, but you’ve made them look really convincing as rag-tag soldiers or bandits. I’ll have to keep that option in mind when I get my ZAlpha project going!

Great work on these - really good kit bashing!
The cultist bodies seem to be hugely flexible, I have used a couple with Stargrave parts, they seem to work great for any period!

Good kitbashing there. Those are very cool. Totally work for that ragged, desperate 'Rogue Military Unit' look.
-
Great use of bits! I’d happily use those for Valhallans too! These are good times for kitbashing!

The camo pattern helps hide everything that would have been cultish about them. Might as well be ponchos or overcoats. Nice work.

nice work
background building looks cool too

Fabulous.
I too have found these guys useful for a bit of kit bashing - they are a very useful set and yours look suitably down at heel and gritty.

Thanks for the kind words.
The building is one of several that my son has designed and 3d printed for me. They are actually designed for WW2 Normandy but I vave used them in numerous setting in Zona Alfa, Dedburgh and more as well as WW2. Quite a few can be seen here

My son does sometimes sell the models and He occasionally accepts commissions but remember he is in the army and deliver can be very slow depending on his duties. He is here on LAF as Hami so PM him if interested.

Really great job! Those "AKs" look good, too!
-
Those are very clever mods indeed. Great job.
-
Just “wow”…. I am wishing I had that type of creativity. Now off to the bits boxes and see what can be brewed up!
-
Great work! And very inspirational!

Those cultists look good in the zone.
Extremely creative.
