Title: Not-Frank Castle
Post by: Whitewolf on September 16, 2009, 07:38:41 PM
Hello Everyone,

Can someone point me to a not-Punisher 28mm figure? The Clix ones really don't suit my purposes. I am looking for a more static, upright pose with gun/machine gun.

Thanks in advance!

Don

Reaper have one in the chronoscope range, but hes carrying twin .45's, and the sculpt is a little off (his head doesnt fit)

I have two of those.  One fits fine but I have not but the other together yet.  It could be some slight casting variation.  He'd be a decent Punisher but I was thinking more of Cain from Batman.

Have you seen this one from Secret Invasion? It sounds like what you're looking for.

He's huge. I mean, even not including the terrain, his proportions put him closer to 35mm than 28.

Just what kind of Castle are you looking for? 80s bodysuit, Modern T-Shirt, film Tom Jane or Modern "Max" trench coat?

Can't wait to see him.  I decided to do mine up as a SHIELD agent after I started painting up a Veronica Blaze as one.  I'll have to get another for David Cain.

You know, he comes with a skull mask too.  You could make the recent Captain America version of the punisher with that.  I might need abunch of these now.

Well, here he is (it only took around three months). Sorry for the bad pic.
I'm using him in a 70's themed zombie game I am planning for around Halloween time.  The game will include Dirty harry, the Punisher, Starsky & Hutch, Blacula.  One one question begs... where can I get a zombified Huggy Bear?  o_o

Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions!

Now I need another one to do as Frank.  Looks good. The only suggestion I would make would be to make the Skull bigger and use pouches as teeth.  I think the straps might hinder that a little though.  Good job overall.

Thanks for the nice comment! There wasn't a lot of room on his chest for the skull and he's turned on an angle too -- at my skill level, it was all I could do just to show the skull in some way.  Thanks for looking!  :)

Nicely done - straight off the homage to Punisher is evident, so well done to you Whitewolf.  :)

That is absolutely recognisable as Big Frank.  The face is good too, it looks like how I expect 70s Punisher to appear.

Nice work :)
