PLastic kitbashes from a mixture of Wargames Atlantic Afghans, Perry Ansar, Bare Numidan arms from Victrix and Wargames Factory
While historically probably not all that correct they look the part.

And the whole sorry lot of scum and villainy ready to pounce on some unsuspecting victims. (4 x12 + leaders for Sharp Practice) Some of those "victims" on the extreme right.
Thanks to fellow -LAF'er Malcolm I was able to get those two lovely OOP Hinterland Ladies on Camels!

Are Hinterland out of production or just those figs?
Love the Kitbashes. I'm currently collecting similar figures for Burmese Dacoits to use in a PSC for Burma Far East CoC.
-
Very nicely done, I enjoyed trying to spot which bodies/arms/heads originated in which sets. I know some people can’t be bothered with plastics but I think this shows exactly why they can be so useful.

Alas, Hinterland has closed shop. When notified I tried to order this set but they were already sold out. But thanks to Malcolm (Orc Trader on LAF) I still got hold of one!

Some very convincing kitbashing going on here! :-*
Just to be clear in my mind, the Dacoits were a different entity to the Thugees who were dedicated to Kali?
-
@Atheling: "Dacoit" is simply a bandit, and/or member of a band of armed robbers, with no additional background implied or required.
@WillieB: Great job on your dacoits! Also I am in tremendous envy of you for getting your hands on those 2 fantastic OOP Hinterland Camel Ladies, who I have been somewhat desperately searching for to serve supporting character roles as sisters on a parallel colonial thread! The painting of them looks like it's coming along very nicely as well!

Thanks mate :)
-
Oh, they're smashing! Good job.
Yeah, Atheling, as Mad Guru implied, Dacoit is more of a generic term, doesn't refer to a specific group the way Thugee does.
-
Great kitbashing, inspirational!
-
Very inspirational! As I saw the lady on camel I immediately thought to Mad Guru lol. They should be perfect for our topic in this forum on "NWF saga" . Very good brush work too!

Thanks Dylan :)

Yes, Indian dacoit is just a member of a band of armed robbers

Lovely creations Willie.

I confess my deep ignorance. But if someone owns a company with stamps etc, if he wants to quit he should recover some cost selling the molds etc. so probably now someone else gets this material...
-
Very good. :)

Those are cool love a good kitbash.
-
Great kitbash of parts.
Love them.
Gives me an idea to make some up to use with my Indian Mutiny collection.

Fantatstic!
