The following are Peter Pig French infantry, based on 30mm square Litko ultrathin plywood bases for Crossfire. Each base is a section; the whole is 1st Platoon 1st Company:

Very good. Love the blue!
Great work on the equipment.
-
Excellent. Have you based them for a particular gaming system ?
-
Thank you. They are based for Arty Conliffe's Crossfire rules but the 30 x 30mm will work for Great War Spearhead too.

Nice work!! ;)

Can I ask which colour you used for the uniforms?
I’ve just received a replacement pot of Vallejo French Mirage Blue, but it is much greyer than the previous one I had.
-
Really nice work! 8)

Lovely brushwork on the French.

Thank you. Here are two more French late war infantry platoons:

And an interesting set, comprising QRF ACW engineers with Peter Pig French headswaps and a Battlefront Schneider tank. The French used engineer teams with their tanks following the experience in Chemin des Dames battles of 1917:

Great set of figures and vehicles - really like the camo on the tanks and guns.
Which blue did you use for the uniforms?
-
Thank you. I used WW1 French Uniform Base AK3101 sprayed over a Tamiya grey primer, followed by progressive highlighting with the Union Trousers Shade and Union Trousers Light from Wargames Foundry.

Thanks

These are really wonderful. Your painting really brings out the best in the Peter Pig sculpts.
-
Thank you very much. I always feel compelled to do the best job I can when painting the figures and vehicles, as a tribute to my Grandfather who talked to me about his service in the Great War. With the French, it is also about giving due recognition to their part in the war.
