Title: 15mm WW1 late war French
Post by: monk2002uk on September 19, 2021, 01:03:14 PM: The following are Peter Pig French infantry, based on 30mm square Litko ultrathin plywood bases for Crossfire. Each base is a section; the whole is 1st Platoon 1st Company:

I’ve just received a replacement pot of Vallejo French Mirage Blue, but it is much greyer than the previous one I had.

Post by: monk2002uk on September 24, 2021, 07:06:50 PM: Thank you. I used WW1 French Uniform Base AK3101 sprayed over a Tamiya grey primer, followed by progressive highlighting with the Union Trousers Shade and Union Trousers Light from Wargames Foundry.

I always feel compelled to do the best job I can when painting the figures and vehicles, as a tribute to my Grandfather who talked to me about his service in the Great War. With the French, it is also about giving due recognition to their part in the war.
