Anyone got anything to recommend that would be suitably Achaemenid Persian in 28mm. I was thinking some sort of flying bull ornament for fish tanks or similar would be easy to find but I'm drawing a blank.
Also any siuggestions as to what Persian houses as opposed to grand palaces would look like?
Thanks.

I’m interested in this, too.
My guess would be that common dwellings and buildings would have been made with the mud brick techniques used up to today -generally rectangular and with flat roofs. Thing is, I don’t really have any basis for that- it’s pure guesswork and more than a bit of stereotyping on my part! I have no idea what the tradition in the Persian heartland was.
There would have been regional architectural variations within the Achaemenid empire, too, as they conquered a range of societies in a short period. It included everything from the central Asian steppe, to the Nile valley and coastal Asian Greek city states, all with their own building methods and aesthetics.
Like I said, I’m interested to find out more details.

Cannot for the life of me remember where it came from...

Adam. That's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to find. Thanks for the tip of where to look, Fram. You were right it's Dust scenenry.
Here are the various Dust items. Several are useful.

These might be okay for a more cheap and cheerful approach too.

Those are good points about the traditions used and the variety. Asia Minor was probably different to Mesopotania and likewise different to Persia or Bactria. I'd go with some sort of mud brick building as a guess too. I would be interested still if anyone has any good examples of styles or decoration colours. Even educated guesses give us something to work with.
Great links too Jeff. Acheson is new, to me or at least I'd forgotten them.
Thanks all for the responses.

Thanks. I think that's the same as the one I found on Etsy. I couldn't find a web site for them though, just F***book. >:D

Good call. A Kickstarter I had blanked from my memory! There’s a few more in that range that look rather nice...
