Hi all
Completed these recently as a palate cleanser following a large scale (1/16th) Viking painted as a commission….
These are 28mm North Star figures and were fun to do….. All paints Vallejo. Mostly Model colour with Game colour washes and Metal colour for the shiny steel bits.
Hope you like them….

I can never see that wooden construct mini without imagining it painted up like a number 2 pencil. Most of the wood parts bright yellow, graphite point on top of the head, and a red rubber eraser with a crimped metal collar stuck on his butt, or perhaps replacing his feet. Bonus points if you distress the figure so it has marks where monsters have gnawed on it. :)

Nice!

particularly like the wooden golem and spooky clown-ish fig.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the comments. Sorry for the delay in the reply, not been on for a few days……
I know exactly what you mean Rich. That colour scheme would make it a great fit for a near future advertising droid wouldn’t it……you could write Staedtler across the torso as well…..

Hi all
Here are a few more for the war band……after all, you can never have too much variety. The figures are Northstar plastics. My only addition is the arrow, looks great but really got in the way of the brush ;D.
Hope you like ‘em…

Some great paint work on display!

Many thanks for the compliment Joe. I thought these had sunk without trace LOL…
-
really nice work on the facial expressions. Paint-jobs enhance rather than otherwise.
-
Many thanks Bloggard. Glad you liked them.

Nice work - I particularly like the colours on the Archer and the crossbowman. Your style of painting ties this band together nicely, despite each character wearing clothes of different colours.

Thanks for the positive comments Bearwoodsman. Really pleased you like ‘em.
