I have been reading the "Morgana Trilogy" (Exiled!, Horg! and The Return!) with our granddaughter. These are stories written by a good friend of mine John Mumford. The are based on the Warhammer Bretonnian figure "Morgana" and fer wargame adventures. The three novels are the narrative AAR of a series of games we played.

Now Granddaughter wants to play "Morgana". In the story she is this figure

I am afraid bank of grandad cannot afford two of these (one mounted and one to convert to dismounted) so I am looking for suitable proxies. The double hennin would be great.
So I turn to this fountain of knowledge for ideas - please. Or if anyone has one of the figures to sell/exchange that would be most appreciated.

I like this one, but only comes mounted.

Or, from the old Tom Meier Arthurian range - only 25mm, unfortunately

Or from his "30mm" range

Many thanks, the Arthurians look great but the ladies are not riding side saddle - most unbecoming. That said they look the part and are available here in UK so front runners just now.

How about Perry's Margaret of Anjou?

Good choice! And other useful figures too.

Bad Squiddo's Jean de Clisson comes with sword AND armour. The mounted version is not released yet, it was part of their recent kickstarter.

She is more suited to another character - Grand Duchess Maudette! Added to list for when the mounted version is released.
Thanks.

Sidesaddle riding didn't arrive in the UK until the late 14th Century :D
The figures might be a bit small to use with 28mm figures, but it could be a fairy princess on a fairy horse.

I doubt granddaughter will worry too much about any size disparity (her mum is 5'1" tall) and at least one will eventually end up on a unicorn! The princesses inhabit a medieval/fantasy type world of knights, dragons, goblins, giants and other creatures on my wargames table, kitchen table, floor etc.
