Query for folks who own, or happened to have played in games featuring, West Wind's Dracula's Castle model:
I've long kept half an eye on the model as it is a very beautiful center piece. However, I've only ever seen photos that only show the main gateway side. Does it have a postern gate around back?
In actual play, does it make for tactically interesting skirmish games?
In light of The Silver Bayonet, I've been giving it another eyeing, but I always come back to this question.
Or, are there any STL files out there for small castles with somewhat similar styling? In my googling, I've only come across models that are very square affairs with giant slabs of curtain walls, or else high gothic fantasy.

There is some discussion with some more images of a game being played on it here:

Now I'm of a mind to make my own.

Skrapwelder, I've come across that thread before, alas it doesn't show the back side either. Judging from the way they've positioned it against the edge of the table is what leaves me very suspicious that there is no other entrance.
I love that game mat they use with it!

I have one, there is no back entrance.

Same here, no back entrance if you want any pictures give me a shout.

Thanks for the info folks. Don't really need to see a picture. I'm mostly interested in if you think the pieces makes for tactically interesting skirmish games. Just the single entrance seems like a limiting factor.

It's a nice looking terrain piece but I think that you would have to make it incorporate a primary objective, or have one force defend it against an attacker, for it to get much interesting use. Even then I'm not sure how tactically interesting it would be compared to something more elaborate like Necromunda terrain.
You could have certain rooms have stairs/passages that lead to floors off the main play area (such as dungeon tiles) in order to make the castle more elaborate. Perhaps a group of vampire hunters are searching for the vampire noble's coffin within a dungeon maze, or perhaps a mob of angry villagers are sieging the castle to get the mad scientist and his horrific creation. Or maybe there is a war between vampires and werewolves and the vampires must defend the castle in a siege-like scenario.

Yeah, once again I passed on buying it during Noble Knight's Black Friday sale. It's very pretty, but just seems to limited.

There is a Dracula castle print on Etsy, way too much for my pockets. However if you have your own printer, you can get the file way cheaper
If you have a printer, here, you can find the STL files.

Most of the buildings are printed in levels so on can battle thru each floor and the main base has a small dungeon area as well.
For those you have the deeper pockets then me.

Yikes! That is impressive. If I were selling it, I would say more about interior access, though.

I agree, it had taken me awhile to find a seller that did mentioned the interior. It is a nice set up.
