Hey guys, Temple of the West is excited to announce this collaboration with Fighting Hedgehog on these new sets. The first 2 sets to be released will be the Dacian Command and the Germanic Tribes Command. These new releases coordinate with the army lists in their new expansion "Rise of Eagles" which is available from wargamevault.com. Our sculptor for this line is the talented Stavros Zouliatis. These will be available soon! More info to come....

Very nice! I assumed Clash of Spears had some sort of deal with Victrix. More minis is always better! :D
-
Always a treat to see more minis in this era!
-
Nice. You're getting into a few ranges now then. Exciting! Of all the ancients ranges, Dacians have always been the most interesting to me.
-
Hey! Thanks for the kind words. We are really excited about this new move into historics and wanted to attach ourselves to a really great game system. There is no exclusive with victrix and CLASH. Victrix will still serve as the "starter armies" and fill out the bulk of the "troop" types. We wanted to come along and create really expressive "command" sets for many of the army lists that are pretty thin in the markets. We will also follow up with some specialized troop types to add more variety in the markets too. I've attached a couple more pics of the sculpts and one where you can see how they stand with victrix sculpts. Best, -Kyle

Do you have a link to the miniatures or are they a future release?

They will be released in December, we are waiting for them to finish molding and casting. They will be available for sale at TempleWest.co.

Thanks. I've saved the URL to my bookmarks :)

Wow, again, beautiful sculpts! Can't wait to see what you guys come out with next!
-
I love the guy with the wolf pelt over his helmet. I can see him being useful in a number of armies.
-
These look cool. I'm putting on my Xmas wish list:)

How do they line up with the Foundry Dacians / Sarmatians?

Good question, I actually don't have any of those to compare them to. Perhaps if someone has some and also some victrix they could line them up together and you could gauge it from the comparison with Victrix I posted up already.

I general, the Perry sculpted Foundry ranges are quite small in size. There has been a much "scale creep" since those beauties were sculpted two decades and more back.
Still a superb range. But I would say definitely smaller if the Spears line of Miniatures - Dacian Command match the Victrix stuff which is large by any standards.
-
Atheling. Agreed. I have some of the Perry Romano-British sculpts. Lovely figures but much smaller than today’s sculpts.

It's a real shame in a way as the Foundry range is excellent and the more variety in an army the better.

Germanic Tribal Command headed to casting... The were done as Late Germans as they were able to pick up some Roman armor and helmets after some previous engagements that didn't fare so well for the Imperials. We also wanted to include a woman in this pack since we know that the women in these tribes fought along side the men and some even had command roles. Up next is a unit of Gladiators for "Spartacus Rebellion" in the new Rise of Eagles supplement... Really excited about doing up the Gladiators!

Another great group!

They look amazing, are the heads separate?

I have to agree that Stavros did a pretty amazing job. The heads are attached on these. Weapons and shields are separate.
-
Here is a sneak peek at the Gladiators for "Spartacus Revolt" from the Rise of Eagles supplement. We created an entire unit of 8. Available early next year! Sculpted again by Stavros Zouliatis.
-
Just what I need for my Spartacus army. A pox on postage and customs :'(
-
Ooohhhhh...... fancy!
-
Excellent, I think I can add both the Germanic command and Gladiators to my slave revolt army!

Here's the official announcement!
Gladiators once confined to an arena, now ready to fight for their freedom in the open battlefield. Get the army list for Spartacus Slave Revolt in the new "Rise of Eagles" supplement. Miniatures available in early '22.

I don't suppose there's any chance of your getting a UK distributor??

Good to hear :D

Just an update on these: the Dacian and Germanic Command Groups are already being cast... these fine gladiator chaps showed up in Texas and are headed to the caster this week. We are looking at an early '22 launch for all 3 sets and many more are planned after we finish another project. Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here's one in person. The details in person are unreal. Can't wait to get these in your hands!
-
Getting closer guys! Metal masters have arrived for inspection and paint!
-
OK, we all love pictures. Here's what you'll actually get. It's always nice to see the sculpts, but everyone always wants to see the casts to see the quality they will actually get. We are very happy with the quality of these. Fortress Figures did not disappoint. Production molds are now being made and we expect to have inventory in the near future.
-
How can they be metal masters when there's not a single axe amongst them? ;)
-
We enlisted the great Steve Beckett to paint these up for our studio. They are getting closer and closer to releasing. Just waiting on cards. He's working on the other 2 sets as I type!
-
A team of our local club has been playing Clash od Spears for a month.
We begin to really like it.
Any Distributor of Temple of the west in UE ?

We have a distributor lined up for the UK, we are in talks with a couple in the EU at the moment.
Here we are excited to show the painted up Dacian Command group! Again, painted by the talented Steve Beckett.
-
GLADIATORS! These fill out the ranks for the armies of the "Spartacus Slave Revolt" in the #RiseofEagles expansion for CLASH of Spears.
These were also lovingly painted by the master Steve Beckett
as well as sculpted by Stavros Zouliatis
-
Love gladiator miniatures!
These are great.
I think I might make my next 3d design a big arena
-
Tempted to pick up that Slave command as regular Gladiators as well as for the Third Servile War too.
Nicely done.
-
the Dacians and the Gladiators look fabulous

Why a PRE-ORDER? For small companies such as ourselves it helps us determine the interest in a product and how much of it to have made. These will be available for sale in our webstore after all pre-orders have been fulfilled. We will be CLOSING the PRE-ORDER period on April the 29th.
If you have not done so already, please check out CLASH of Spears and their new "Rise of Eagles" supplement in which army lists are available for the new miniatures we are releasing.
