Title: Doc Savage - Clix Kit Bashing
Post by: warrenss2 on September 25, 2009, 02:26:48 AM
In the Doc Savage books they always tell of his near 7 feet in height. So I decided to try for a little bit more height for a Doc Savage miniature in our pulp gaming.

So I took inspiration from this website and tried it out.

IMHO… He turned out pretty good. My hand is more shaky now than in my youth so my painting looks rather lazy. Sorry about that.

My new Doc Savage miniature…

For a size comparison, here he is next to Bob Murch's outstanding Doc Savage miniature…

I really like it. Is the upper body from the Doc Sampson fig?

warren - I saw this on tmp as well...

Thanks for the link to my page and I'm glad that you liked what you saw there. You are way farther along than I (since you finished!) but I have gone back to it and will get Doc done. I am also working on an Indiana Jones and others.

Have you painted up the fabulous five as well? I'd love to see them.

Is the upper body from the Doc Sampson fig? - Yes. The upper body is from Doc Samson.

Have you painted up the fabulous five as well? I'd love to see them. - I've only got Bob Murch's 4... Monk, Renny, Ham, & Johnny. Still looking for a good Long Tom. Any suggestions?

Here's a pic of them all together, ready for action...

I'm looking forward to your Indy Jones.

Very nice.  The Doc Sampson body in one of the versatile clix figures for doing Pulp Heroes.  I've got one painted up as Flash Gordon, never thought to use it for the Good Doctor.

Froggy, you tease.  :)

If I hadn't had made my Doc I might of gone with that miniature because I like the mercy-bullet firing machine pistol.

Doc looks a little on the lean side there.
