Title: Alternative Riders for Martian Gashants for Space 1889

Hi Guys
I know its a bit left field , but I need some ideas / inspiration .
I am after some Alternative Riders  for my Martian Space 1889 army.
Currently I have only the RAFM Canal Martians , and Hill Martians ,riders  all a bit Generic..one pose each
I was after perhaps a Heavy Cavalry Alternative ?? , and yes they will be mounted on Martian Gashants From RAFM . lol
Preferably something a bit exotic ( more elf than human ) ..sort of .. o_o
Your crazy  thoughts please. lol

Yep I have the Rafm Riders , 2 variants  ( Canal Martians and Hill Martians)

Just to be clear on another tack, you've been looking at Elves, and none took your fancy? I'm pretty sure the original RAFM sculpts were based on elf figs. At least, the sculptor was known for his elf figs.

Depending on how much of a purist you are, there are a number of dark elf sculpts on cold ones that might fit the bill (alternatively, if you are good with green stuff, you could make conversions to the feet to give them the true Martian appearance).  Many of these have heavier armor, so could look like mounted versions of this canal Martian:

The old Mirliton fantasy range has various dark elves that could do (many have a Renaissance vibe, so beware of Elizabethan style ruff collars)

There is the option of Warhammer Dark Elf cold one knights as the basis for your heavy cavalry.

I have seen Elf cavalry riders from Flintloque used as riders for Gashants. It looks pretty good for European raised native cavalry.

          Were those the Crystal Elves, or the Flintloque ?  Some of them look very "Napoleonic,"  which might or might not fit with an individual's image of Canal Martians.
