I bought a couple of Napoleonic miniatures ages ago. They were intended for skirmishes that never happened, and I only painted some fusileers then. Now that "The Silver Bayonet" got released, the old plan came to mind again and I remembered those twenty years old models of mine. Regretfully I couldn't find the painted ones anymore, but I knew where the unpainted were left. I dug them out and painted them at last. Here they are:

I don't remember who made them decades ago in true 28mm scale. There are two fusileers from 1st regiment, 3rd company and a drummer as well as five Voltigeurs:

They are lovely mate 8)
-
Really nice Michi! I think they might be Perry figures...
-
Nice paint job on those figs. :)
And I just looked at Perry's site - they sure look like Perry Nassaurers...
-
Very nice.
I like the greens you used - can you tell me what colours they are?
-
Lovely
-
For the dark shade, is it the old GW Dark Angel Green maybe? I still have a tiny amount left in the pot it's over 20 years old and still good.
-
Thanks for your kind comments, gentlemen. There are a few more to come soon...
I like the greens you used - can you tell me what colours they are?
David, that is Vallejo Model Color 70.970 Deep Green.
For the dark shade, is it the old GW Dark Angel Green maybe?
James, it is the above mentioned green mixed with black.

Those troops look excellent!

I finished a grenadier captain and a fusileer lieutenant as an alternative choice of commanding officers for The Silver Bayonet. Both are available on foot or mounted. If the CO dismounts during gameplay the horse will be left useless. I painted one without rider too for table dressing in that case.

Wow!
Very dashing! I can’t get over how vibrant the yellows are. These really are cracking, I’ve scrolled up and down several times admiring them.

The last man is finished. The standard bearer should be a sergeant, but the miniature is a lieutenant. The staff should be striped in yellow and blue, but is plain wood. The flag should be yellow with a golden lion on a blue shield crowned by the duke's crown.
Well, this is what history says. The miniature was sculpted as it is with the flagstaff and a lieutenant's uniform. I added a selfmade paper flag (printer paper folded and hardened with white glue) and painted it in the house of Nassau-Usingen's heraldic colours. So far it is a "could-be" for some protocol duty, but not worn in the field.

Mission accomplished, my task force against the forces of evil is finished - they will not fight in the line, but rather will put up their silver bayonets and load their muskets with silver bullets…

Great stuff 8)
-
Gorgeous work!
-
Those look sweet!
-
Lovely job on those!
-
sehr schön Michi!
Yellow and Green together can be a very tricky combo, but the dark Green really offsets the vibrancy of the yellow!
Now you need to paint a Vampire to terrorize them all for your Silver Bayonet games!!
