I got bored waiting for the other guys to get their armies done so I started on the French Imperial Guard. Here we find the Victrix French Chassuers of the Guard, I have a box of Grenadiers as well but I think I'm going to take a break from blue uniforms for a minute. Very nice..and yes, you can get "blue fatigue"!
-
Nicely done.
Was it a "bring an eagle" party?
-
Victrix is rather liberal with the flag-bearers, unfortunately there is no way to modify them into regular soldiers. I'm stumped with what to do with them.
-
Very nice painting. They just look rather socially distanced for Napoleonic? Is this due to the rule system you are using?
-
Depending on your modification skills, you could modify the eagle bearers into sergeants and the eagle staff into a halberd with a pennant. Voila eagle guards.
-
Just let your Victrix spares pile up.. Ive found it very handy for supplementing Perry plastics as they take the opposite position of only providing enough command figures for one battalion.

Nice looking figures/units. Well done!

Armchairgeneral, We are using Black Powder but some of the lads bought metals figures that are rather more "robust": than the plastics and don't fit onto the allowed frontage without undue crowding. To solve this we decided to go with 1" per figure frontage, leaving the slimmer plastic figures rather further apart. They are all on sabot bases to allow for skirmish gaming as well.
