I like it.  Looks comfy, with plenty of natural light.  Don't see a bar though... 8)

Lovely!  So much good light, and a comfy looking space.

Nice looking room - reading the dimensions it sounds big, but a games table rapidly takes up the width.

Looks good, quite a space you've got to play with.

I am retired & mine is nowhere near as neat as yours.
I am jealous. ;)

The kitchen isn't that far away....

I really wanted it 2 feet wider but wasn't allowed to by the planning officer.  That would have allowed a more permanent 6' wide table and shelving along the walls.

There is also a 12' x 12' hobby room off it which has mostly paint and the laser cutter but also has all the crates and drawers with scenery in them and odd figure projects, etc.

The uniform books and the painted figures are still mostly in the study which is also next to the room.

I wanted to keep it tidy and usable as a place to sit and read as well as a games room as it gets the best afternoon sun of any room in the house.

I loved your little qell sorted shop when you were still active and I really admire that very bright spacy hobby room. I finally managed to turn parts of our cellar into a man cave but its nowhere as beautiful as yours.

If it wasn‘t for damned Brexit and even more damnableCovid we would certainly make our next holiday in the UK and I would have packed a skirmish 15mm Martian force and give you a call!

Great work, sir!

Mike, that looks great. I wish I could find display cases for my 54mm figures like you have - I can only find cases with far too few shelves to make them really work. Of course, I'm in the US, so your source probably wouldn't help me.  :(

Nice painting desk setup, never thought to use this type of desk.

Great job, wishing you many happy hours in your "man cave".

Thanks.

When I used Billy bookcases from Ikea for display cases (in my original room) I got a local glass company to cut extra shelves so I could fit more figures in.

The current display cases are from Argos in the UK and are better as they have glass sides.

Retirement sounds lovely, unfortunately I seem to be on the Zeno retirement plan.

My retirement space will be a wooden box, about 6 feet by 2 and a half feet.  Under about 6 feet of earth for insulation.

Well, there was this one time in the Balkans...... but that's a story for a different thread!

I like the shelf built in under the table to store terrain when not in use.
