Title: Chariot fest
Post by: SteveBurt on December 08, 2021, 10:39:16 AM
It’s been a while since we played To the Strongest, and even longer since I got the Bronze Age armies on the table. So last night we had a game inspired by Qarqar, with a Neo Assyrian army facing a Levantine alliance of Egyptians, Syrians, and Hittites. Fun game; Assyrians had the upper hand early (very bad luck for some of the Egyptian chariots), but then Egyptian shooting started to take its toll. Esharhaddon got his chariot bogged in a marsh, to general amusement, but eventually it came down to the wire, the Assyrians looting the Levantine camp to win the game by the skin of their teeth.

Who doesn't love a good chariot? Silly people that's who. Looks like a great set-up.

Very nice. This has inspired me to dust-off my 7th century BC Assyrians and make them TTS compatible. Last week I ran a TTS game of Hittites vs Sea Peoples. A stunning Hittite victory.
