Title: Return to the west revarnished figures and new pics

After, well quite a number of years I’ve actually bought a few old west figures to add to my collection, I’ve got a Mexican town , but no Mexicans!!! So to remedy that I’ve bought a few artizan figures, nearly finished my first one, I’m in self isolation after contracting Covid so hoping over this period I stay well enough to crack these figures out! Here’s the first  needs a touch up here and there and basing will be done once I’ve completed the others

Lots of character in that sculpt and your brushwork is bringing it to life, great work!

Fantastic brushwork! Have you considered a different color for the rope belt so it stands out?

I only mentioned the rope because you have done a magnificent job painting the most challenging color to get right and I thought a little contrast would really set it off. By the way, the eyes are superb!

Where's her yardstick?  If she's like the nuns I had on grade school, she'd have those hombres straightened out in no time... :D

Indeed,I worked with nuns of a variety of sorts for 18 years ;D

In grade school, our nuns were double armed.  In addition to the yardstick they also wore a belt of a rosary with wooden beads the size of a section of your thumb.  They were long enough to go around the waist and still have a free part nearly three feet long which they were quite adept at quickly swinging around and landing across your knuckles or the back of your head to help "enlighten" you to the error of your ways.

Revarnished my collection, thought I would take some new photos as my last ones were a bit crap, I painted these about ten years back, mix of foundry, artizan and Dixon
