A couple of gribblies to terrorise the locals. My most excellent friend Chairface gave these to me for Xmas and I couldn't wait to get them painted. I was trying to go for the paint scheme of the Shoggoths in Lovecraft Country, this was my best effort. Not quite the 'lychee' texture of the TV series but I guess paint is somewhat different to cgi.

Brilliant!

Nice :-*

Definitely have a Lovecraftian vibe to them. Who would be the manufacturer of these little beasties?
-
I'm told they were .stl files from Bombshell miniatures. Unfortunately they are not on their website atm, though there are some nifty winged Cthulhu beasties there that I have in my paint queue.

These models are great as is the paint job - good work.
Are they for a particular game or project?

Just a couple of additions to my ever-growing Mythos collection. My go to ruleset is Strange Aeons but for convention and group games we use homebrew so that players enjoy themselves rather than succumb to the madness.

As I finish off the last few odds and ends from the Second Edition SA KS I find myself ready to start playing some actual games (still have a lot of scenery and Mythos beasties to add but with the SA stuff done I feel I'm off to a good start.) As my plan is to play a more narrative style of game and will undoubtedly be tailoring some of the rules was interested in the homebrew ideas you have come up with for the insanity and madness if you wouldn't mind sharing.

Cheers. Fairly new to this field with respect to miniatures despite being a Lovecraft fan so will checkout Strange Aeons as I see there's a whole board devoted to it. You're right though it's quite hard to marry up the Lovecraftian experience of inevitable doom in the face of cosmic entities and a pleasurable gaming experience!

Nice work on those indeed Mr Moose!! :o
Is this the same model? I don't think it is because Bombshell isn't credited but it looks similar:

No, they are definitely different

Oh yeah. Yours are waaaaay better!!! :-*

Lovely work my friend!
The models were on the Bombshell website as Stl’s around the time Lovecraft County came out. It’s a lovely set and SM has done them proud
-
Definitely reminds me of the ruins described in Lovecraft’s The Nameless City.

The figures are back on the Bombshell site, listed as Aboleths (though not the D&D ones).
