my latest shoggoth....
It's a repainted plastic D&D miniatures 'large chaos beast' model.
agent 'lucky' watson for scale and the other side of the beast....

That's lovely.
Or ugly - but you know what I mean ;)
Nice paintwork.

Don't they make great shoggoths!!
I got 3 and coated them with gloss varnish... 2 coats... to make them look nice and slimy.
I like your paint job though.

hi warrenss2,
yup, my first thought when i saw it was 'shoggoth, right there!'
nice to see they are only an 'uncommon' so nice and cheap to get hold of second hand too,

Oh, very nice!

It is spooky and yet it seems to be smiling and happy, maybe because he/she/it is about to eat? It has a certain mutant snuffalafagus quality about it. :)
The slimey reddish goo underneath it is a nice touch!!!

Like the slimy trail left by a garden slug.

That does make a rather good shoggoth!

I really got to get me some of these.

I've got one of those beasties as well...D'n'D have some pretty cool cthulhuesque stuff. I've got a Roper as well which makes a pretty good protoplasmic mass...Would be cool to do a size comparison shot of all 'shoggoth' models.
And as always, great paint job! :D

Got a few of those myself, originally as stand-ins for "The Thing" in alien form.
Now they serve duty as ..... Shoggoth.
Nice paint job btw.

Well done!! :)
