Greetings all,
I am starting to think of a future project and I need a lot of 28mm Zombies to be the basis for some conversions into more techno-futuristic undead, astro-zombie type critters. Therefore, I want a good, varied base of easily convertible zombies that I can chop up and make into something new with GS and bits.
Can anyone share with me some good links or kits I can work from?
Thanks for your help.

Think the following might be the best options, Mantic Games Kings of War Zombies, Mantic Games Deadzone Zombies, Studio Miniatures WWII Zombies, Warlord Games Project Z Female & Male Zombies. All are plastic and most are really affordable.

The Deadzone plague 3rd gen troopers might mix in well if you want some army types in your zombie horde.

Have you considered varying a second hand version of zombicide?
-
There's also Sedition Wars revenants out there if you can get hold of them.
-
Have you thought about buying zombicide?
The game comes with a ton of zombies.

Thanks all. That pointed me to what I was looking for!

I still have a copy of Sedition Wars just sitting on the shelf collecting dust if you are still interested.

I think I'd go this route. I like the sculpts and that price seems right. Plus, bare butt hospital gown zombies! lol

Very late reply, but, since you'll be doing conversions, you might want to look for zombie *sprues* with interchangeable parts. Then see if the manufacturer makes sprues with interchangeable parts for the other genres you want (ie. techno). Search on "zombie miniature sprue". I see Mantic, Warlord Games, Maulifaux, Fireforge, etc.

Thanks to all who responded.
I ultimately ended up using left-over Dark Age Irish models and Green Stuff to astro-Zombie them up a bit. Pictures soonish.....
Mostly I chose this route as I had the models and GS handy one day when time became available.

Studio Miniatures. Plenty of zombies with plenty of variety.

Zombicide is definitely the answer. Look on eBay, or else the game website.
