Hi all,
Simply an age since I have been involved in the hobby. Lots of family stuff and promotion at work has left little time to get stuck into the lead pile.
Any how I thought I'd post some pics of some bits I've been working on.
First up some Cross-Roads Cultists for Dracula's America.

Who better to lead the Cult than Crowley himself! (antediluvian miniatures)

My Harbinger (Wings from plastic Clix mini)

Acolytes (Copplestone)

Acolytes (Black Scorpion)

Medium and small summoned Demons (medium is a Spinespur mini and small is official mini)

My take on the Behemoth ( D&D Plastic)

The Crossroads Cult!
I should have some more factions to post soon.
Hope you like them.

Wow! These are amazingly good!
I like the whole posse - but the skin tones on the Crowley figure are the stand-out.
Cracking work, and looking forward to seeing what else you have been doing.
-
A truly beautiful looking posse. Nice crisp brush work and a great color selection. All the alternate figures you have chosen work well as substitutes too. Have all three of the rulebooks but never found anyone interested in playing unfortunately but you've made me want to revisit that. Looking forward to your next group and thanks for sharing these.
-
So good to see you back at it and back with a definite bang 8)
-
Lovely work, especially on Crowley.
-
Great stuff, good to see you back!
-
Jolly Nice! :-*
-
Now they are really good. :)
-
I looked on Black Scorpion for the rifleman with the red hood but didn't see him. Is he an older figure? Or am I just blind?
-
You are a veritable artist!
-
Damn it! Not only did you beat me to the punch on the Crowley fig (still sitting sadly unpainted in the pile!) but you had to go and paint it better than I could manage as well!
-
Thank you all for the comments. I had a lot of fun doing these. I have pretty much completed my Red Hand Coven, Twilight Order, Dark Confederacy and Forsaken ( a few minis short on each faction). I have the Skinwalkers and Congregation primed up.
I will post some more pics shortly.

Sorry, my bad! He is a Blackscorpion mini but I put a head from the Great Escape Games plastic cowboy set on him! I should have said he was converted.

of the reds.

Very bright colouring and so good to see you back. I've always considered you an inspiration. 8)

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
To take on the evil lurking in Dracula's America I have a posse of the Twilight Order to bring righteous fury to the game!

Nice :-* They look suitably chiseled and grizzled.
-
Some really nice model choices topped off with some very nice brush work, well done. I picked up all 3 Dracula's America books and was really impressed, if I had someone to play it with I would definitely painted up a few posses. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your future additions.
-
Thanks guys, glad you like them.
@Diehard- I'm in a similar boat, I have very little actual time for gaming and only a few people to actually game with. Still love the hobby though after 40+ years!

PM, time I have now that I am retired just no one to game with living in a small town in NE PA. I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one, I also have been active in the hobby for 40+ years, started in my late teens before GW even made it to these shores and am still enjoying it at 63 with only a short gap due to cataracts that stopped me from painting. And don't see me stopping any time soon.

Nice!
I especially like the little touches of red.
Such a nice red too.
-
Another fantastic posse - you paint with a real artistry Pappa Midnight. I think the one in the white shirt is my favourite.
Nice :-* They look suitably chiseled and grizzled.
Well said!
-
Lovely painting! :-*
-
With no real opponents to play with in sight, I also collect and paint for myself, even though for the first time, I'm gearing up towards having my own dedicated gaming room setup.
That aside, it's so good to have you back posting new things. You are without any doubt my favourite hobby artist and, with ideas gravitating eerily close to my own, a constant source of inspiration.

NE PA isn't all that far from WNY! We play Dracula's America pretty regularly, so if you're in the neighborhood...
-
@ Lead Asbestos- Thanks, will definitely be keeping that in mind and greatly appreciate the gesture. And now that I'm retired time is one thing I do have now. So I just may be taking you up on your kind offer in the near future.
Heh, now I also have a great excuse to paint me up a posse.
-
great work on the red hand coven.

I have to echo Bloggard, great work!
-
Great work! Now gives us more! More posses! More paint jobs! :-*
-
Some very nice additions, great paint work!

My skinwalker faction for DA has been sat awaiting basing and varnishing for ages. I finally got around to finishing them.
I took the pictures on my phone and I am pretty pleased with the result.

All of the native Americans are Blackscorpion minis except the medicine man in the blue coat (DA official mini).
The bear and the wolf are plastics.

Masterful brushwork! Bravo Papa Midnight!
-
Wow! These are a great set of figures, painted in a very impressive and natural style!
Top work.
-
Love them. :-*
-
Looking good! 👍
-
Blown over by your skinwalker faction. My FLGS still plus this once in a while. We have an old west town.
-
Your skinwalker posse looks great! I love the way the theme of the wereceratures is adopted in their human shape.
-
Lovely stuff, great brushwork :-*
-
Impressive posses ! Your painting is excellent.
-
It's good to see you are still at it Pappa Midnight. Always loved your style and of course your choice of miniatures.
I'm finally getting around to working on some Dracula's America stuff, and I know where I can get some serious inspiration now!!
-
Lovely lovely work as usual and I have those Scorpion Minis too for a planned similar project. Are the bear and wolf Reaper Bones?
-
Just looked at this thread for the first time ...
Wow, just wow :o
-
Are the bear and wolf Reaper Bones?
I'm sure Al will be back, but I can answer your question. They are both Reaper Bones figures. The wolf is called Warg and the sku 77202. The bear is a Dire Bear, and the bones Sku is 77494. There is a metal version of the Warg as well sku 03490, but I can't find one of the bear. I've been meaning to get that bear for some time.
