Well done chaps,jolly close :)
-
Both good, big surprise :D Difficult decision.
-
Lovely sense of atmosphere Bearwoodman :)
Excellent all around!

Great work Dr! I have sadly never played Spacehulk (although I have painted marines in terminator armour) but I love how your piece will add some real variety to a game while remaining firmly consistent with the 40k setting. It is clearly playable but looks diorama quality and is packed with interesting detail. I particularly like the marbled effect on the alter table, and of course the painting of the alterpiece is superb.

Well done to both of you.

Nice one fellas 8)

Very close decision each very worthy. Wish we could pick 1st and 2nd places. Well done to both participants.
-
Although such different styles and approaches to the challenge they are each great pieces of work.
-
Both entries are absolutely brilliant, both in concept and execution; superbly done, both! :-*
And now I'm left with yet another ridiculously difficult choice...
-
The atmosphere and style of each are dramatically different but equally perfect. Fantastic.

Congrats to Bearwoodman, as the Voordalak sleep-walks (or runs) to the final, in spite of the Space Hulk Chapel having more pew-pew (sorry, I apologise for that, couldn't resist - again :D). Congrats to Dr Mathias are in order as the Chapel is similarly a stunning piece of work.
-
Well done all :)
-
Congrats Bearwoodman, good luck in the finals!

Thanks for all the kind words, especially you Dr Mathias! Your cliff ascent entry last year (which knocked out my entry in the first round) was a key inspiration for my entry this year. I wish you happy Space Hulking in that fantastic Chapel!

I'm not sure I should have knocked you out last year, that fountain was my favorite build for sure.
