Hi,hope the hive mind can help me?
I have an ongoing project gaming the 1812 Retreat from Moscow and would like to add some Young Guard units to my collection.
So I'm not sure if at this time the units wore Epaullets on their greatcoats,if anyone can advise me I'd be very grateful.
Thanks in advance :)

Only the Voltigeur Regiments of the Young Guard had fringed epaulettes in 1812. The Tirailleurs didn't get them until 1815 and the Flanqueurs never received them.

Thanks for your help in this👍
As an aside,do you think pom poms on Shakos more likely than plumes for the Retreat?

I do like a nice plume, but they were probably all wearing pompoms or lentilles on campaign (not that it stopped me giving all mine plumes for 1813...).
