Hi,
my Rubicon Models USMC came in the last day!!! Besides Vietnam war, are there any other options to use them? Don't have to be historical!

As you say not historical - there's a whole load of Hollywood style stuff using them as 'Genera-GIs' everything from guess fighting 'saucer-men' style retro-aliens to space nazis, via giant bugs.
They could probably also do service for Twilight 2000 or meddling in South/Central American Imaginations

The Rubicon USMC & VC figures are very good.
They are a plastic kit and they are made in ABS.
You need sharp sprue cutters and the correct ABS cement to assemble them.

I was actually going to combine the kits to make early/mid 90's Balkan wars Croats! US helmets, US bodies with minimal gear - AK's and voilá! Woodland colour scheme and you're good to go! Same "mix" with the AA heads could be used for other 90's armies like Sierra Leone as well.

Couple things spring to mind....
1. They could be used for "What if" overt US intervention in Central/South America in the late 60s and 1970s.
2. They could be used for the Grenada invasion. Some of the US troops had M1 helmets and flak jackets. If you're a stickler, the flak jackets were a bit different, and the there were 30-round mags in a lot of the M16s, but at that scale, jungle fatigues resemble BDUs...

You could but they wouldn’t resemble much in the way of any of Latin American armies in terms of uniforms or equipment. They’d look nothing like Somoza’s National Guard, El Salvadorean or Guatemalan troops. For El Salvador and Guatemala your best bet would be selected items from the Empress or Gringo South Vietnamese. By the time you get to South America the weapons divide for the period is G3/FAL, no flack jackets and the uniforms more closely resemble the older fatigue uniform.
Paint ‘em up in ERDL and you could use the Marines as ‘70s era RRF. Intervention against Iran anyone? Stray Cats and Storm the Iranian Embassy? ;)
There is a US Army box due out. They would be perfect for the Rangers in Grenada, who wore Vietnam era jungle fatigues and M1 pots. If you ignore the slant pockets (mostly hidden by webbing), make some small adjustments to webbing and ignore the absence of 30 round mags you could use them as early ‘80s GIs by painting them in Woodland Camo.
If they produce M-14s or you can source some, you could shave off the trouser legs and come up with reasonable proxies for the Marine invasion of the Dominican Republic in 1965. Personally I’m hoping that someone will produce some early war Marines.

On the former topic, I think they'd be excellent for the third wave of US troops levied during a T2K-like conflict. After 90s gear has been used up (PASGT etc.) during waves 1 and 2, all that remains is the M1 helmet and (maybe) M69 flak jackets.
