Has anyone seen these chaps in the flesh? I have the usual questions for anyone who has - quality, compatibility, etc. The renders generally look good, but the range is so new that the only pictures of printed figs that I can find are on Blitzkrieg's facebook page.
Appreciate any help. ;)

I ordered some of their minis and have been impressed with how they paint up. I will put some pictures up later today of their painting progress
-
any particular army ?
-
Succesors painted by the sculptor himself.
-
Very helpful, thanks. I'm particularly looking at the classical Indians at the moment, used with or against Aventine and A&A (though in separate units even when in the same army.)
-
Currently on the workbench
-
Those are really fantastic looking. :-*
-
The Indian figures are even better than the successor figures.
I’ve seen them in the flesh. Really nice.
I love the club man figure and the armoured figures.
Elephant is cool too.
-
These do look very nice. How do they go scale wise v Victrix ?
-
Good morning, yes the Indians look nice as 3D renders. Apparently cavalry, chariots and elephants should be released next week. That will make the Blitzkrieg range IMHO the biggest ancient Indian range bar the now rather old 1st Corps and Old Glory figures. Can't wait.
-
I have their Thureophoroi and painted some phalangites with a friend for her collection, and I have to say that they are really good. They look good with Victrix Hellenistic's even if they are a bit chunkier. I will post some pictures later...

As promised some images,
Blitzkrieg and Victrix side by side:

Hope they are helpful!
-
Wow, these look like "big lads". Not sure I would mix them in the same army let alone the same unit?
-
Thanks for the pics Arrigo. They look like giants ! I don't think they'll go w the rest of my armies sadly. If 10% smaller I'd be ordering a batch :(
-
The Thracian XV should dominate the scrums this season, folks! ;)
I'll probably take a flyer on the Indians - they wouldn't be mixing with anyone else's infantry. And then we'll see. (Updates when I eventually have some in the hand.)
-
Peachy, my thoughts exactly. I quite fancy an Indian army, so will buy a few samples. It will be interesting to see how they price their elephants and chariots. Aventine Miniatures produce some gorgeous Indian elephant crews but unfortunately no other figures. I can but hope.
-
Have to say that in the same army they do not look out of place. They are beefier, but at gaming distance, even in a small force like the one I did for Saga, the difference is not that noticeable. In a larger force I guess differences will simply disappear in the mass. But everyone will have a different opinion.
-
Keep an eye out for a future Assyrian release by the same sculptor.
;)
-
Are these metal miniatures? They remind me of the old Vendel line though look to be more detailed sculpts.
I have a start to vendel Indians so would be nice if that were the case.

They are 3d printed
-
Close up of these great figures
-
Mark, very nice. I still think they look too big to mix in units with my other figures but if I eventually buy an entire Indian army not an issue! Can I ask you what paints you use for your bronze. The effect is just what I am looking for.
Thanks.
-
Hi, for the bronze, I use contrast paints. I paint all armour silver then allow to dry. Now it’s the fun bit first coat is GW Nazdreg yellow. Allow to dry then I glaze with GW wyldwood. Highlights are done using Foundry Gold. Works for me and you can always use reg glazes after GW Nazdreg to build colour. It’s a pretty quick way of getting a good standard of bronze armour
-
if they're 3D printed they should be able to make them a bit smaller. I'll ask the manufactures. If ~ 15% smaller I'd get some for sure.
-
hi,
They are quite small. somewhat on the chunkier side compared to Victrix or Agemawhich I ant as well. But they are very nice sculpts, perhaps a few more head positions would be good. This was my first go at painting these figures, they take paint well and they are easy to paint especially if you really thin the paint or contrast you can get some rather nice effects.
Keep painting :-)
-
Blitzkrieg has posted the rest of the Indian range. :-*
-
I think the sculptor is also working on some forest tribesmen too!
-
I think they look great.
Very like the old vendel figs.
-
Another batch of 12 figures painted and based. Awaiting a delivery of some more of these nice rename of minis.
-
You’re progressing this really well!
