The first frames of the new Orcs for Oathmark came in today (just test shots, not for sale yet) and Dean couldn't be held back from sticking some together to see how they look.
Here's the first pics:
-
Looking good! I will be wanting a box it would seem. 👍
-
Love them!! I'm really happy that you went for the same aesthetic as with the goblins!!
-
Oh yes! I’ll definitely be picking up a box or two of these! I love their style!
-
They look great. Are they a similar size to the goblins?
When will they be available to buy?
-
Exciting
-
Oh, shiny!
-
Orc next to Human
-
First pic of the frame. Kev'll be doing some nicer and clearer pictures next week.
-
Excellent!
Lots of kitbashing potential with these; the heads look like an instant half-orc conversion kit when combined with human historicals (e.g. Victrix Vikings for Saruman's Fords of Isen heavies).
The heads look like they might go well with the goblin bodies too, for big-headed Tolkienesque orcs.
It looks like the gnoll arms might provide alternatives for the sprue arms.
All this and arrows on the right side of the bow!

Not bad, I'll probably end up with a box.

+1 to this. And especially like the various styles of armour on them, giving them a ragtag yet unified look which will work well for grim fantastic settings.

The bodies aren't overly hunched and look like they would work with human heads too.
Good idea for the larger heads on goblin bodies.
As far as arrows on the right (left) side of the bow, I accidentally put my first goblins together with the arrow on the wrong side. Embarrasing as I have done archery. I justified it by claiming the Orcs shoot with thumb rings and consequently being on the right (wrong) side of the bow is acceptable. :D

I like those, loads of potential, as we all seem to agree.
-
Best news I've had all week!
-
Those look very well done.
-
Can we have an Orc- Goblin size comparison, please?
Thanks

The second picture in the first post shows an unpainted orc next to a painted goblin.
-
Can't wait yo get a few boxes of these bad boys
-
Kev's nice photo of the Orc frame.
-
& the metal characters that'll be coming out at the same time.
-
That’s a very strong LotR vibe. Excellent!
-
& the metal characters...
I was waiting for those. Very nice.
-
Can’t wait to get some of these!
-
The only right reaction to this: YES!
-
A couple of pictures of the plastic Orcs built, and stood with the metal figures.
Once there's a delivery date from the plastics factory, we'll run an Oathmark pre-order campaign, much like we've done in the past.
-
The release date for these can't come soon enough!
-
They are perfect!
