Oddly I find myself short on D6 dice.
Only looking for 5 but for some reason I can't find any sold individually with spots where I can choose specific colours
can anyone offer a suggestion

For five dice you'll be paying more in shipping than for the dice themselves.

Toy shop? My local one has a jar of varied colours of dice at less than a quid each.

The Dice Shop Online. Pretty much everything you need.

Local charity shop; boardgame section. If you're lucky, you can score a set of Yahtzee dice, but failing that, several of the cheapest board games will give you all the dice you need. Just bin the rest you don't need. Any game stores around? Dice may not be their bread, but they certainly are their butter.
But I suppose every Action, Dollar/Euro/Poundshop will have Yahtzee games as well. And they'll be pretty cheap too. Cheaper than having some choice dice shipped to you, that's for sure.

The FLGS bin of dice is easiest.
However, EM4 will sell individual dice in solid and marble colors (or bulk dice) and they're having a sale right now.

Honestly if you just need five dice, I'd ask some buddies what they have. Most people have tons of spare dice. As mentioned, almost any game store (and yes a handful of toy stores) have the "pick a dice" bin filled with a variety of dice, etc.
Or, if you're on the cheap, look at the small card and dice games aisle. While perhaps not multi-coloured, some cheapo games come with 6-10 dice. A cheap copy of Yahtzee for example.
Worse comes to worse you can always buy some 200 dice for like $8 from China on eBay. :D Donate the rest...
