A couple of weeks ago, whilst on a LOGW weekend bash, Charles Grant reminded me of a series of articles he did, years and years ago, called Table-top Teasers. Needing a quick fix for inspiration I dusted off an old file and found a real peach from 1978.
I've revamped it for a game here on Wednesday. The link to my blog post detailing it is here:

The French forces (go to blog for British pics):

...and some possible reserves:

I think this might be fun. The scenario is nothing spectacularly new but, it's very neat.

A great game, from the look of it. Thanks for posting. Thanks also for the detailed orbats. It's always interesting to see how other folk know when to stop painting one thing and start in on another.
-
Indeed, IMHO, you do need to know when to stop collecting one thing (if it's not the only thing you want to do).
This is the complete Anglo-Portuguese (The French is very similar and done; the Spanish is about two thirds the size but mostly unpainted). The original project criteria were combination of what I can fit on a 15 x 6 and some room for unit variation. Finding the footprint didn't quite fill the pre-allocated shelf space, I did add about four more units as a second thought.

Totals: Men 1040; Horses 145; Guns 8; Limbers 4; Ammunition carts 2.

Gorgeous! Magnificent looking troops!
-
Yep! Truly amazing! o_o
That photo of your French commanders is a beauty! :-*
-
really very nice
-
Thanks.
Including the two Corps commanders, there are 11 command stands for the French, plus an officer of engineers (for scenarios). This is the only picture I can find of a Corps commander (must take some more) just before being based up properly. I wanted one who was 'nameless' so I took a Davout figure and gave him a quiff! Or, is it just Davout wearing a wig?

A hugely impressive collection!
-
BTW... do you have sword duels to settle disputes over the rules? :D
-
I'm very careful about who I let stand on that side of the table >:( >:( >:(
