Me and my buddy played a game of Fantastic Battles and I wrote an AAR about it over on our blog. I would like to know what you guys think about it. Fantastic Battles is quite similar to Warmaster but does a couple of things quite differently, I really liked the Company/Brigade system in which at the start of the game you can choose to form a couple of companies (base unit) into a big brigade to make the units a lot more sturdy while losing a lot of mobility. I missed the combat resolution mechanic of Warmaster. Fantastic Battles seems to lack a feature like it.
You can read the AAR here: https://goodbeanswargaming.blogspot.com/2022/06/fantastic-battles-aar-battle-at-ruined.html
Here are some pics from the game.

That’s a nicely done battle report, beautiful armies, too!

An engaging narrative and fine visuals. I note you 3-D printed all the troops, they look great.
I confess I find Warmaster a tad daunting and have been enjoying Fantastic Battles solo as a casual players ruleset, one which I think deserves coverage.

Great looking game, and good looking armies too

Excellent figures and graphics - inspiring.
I have the Warmaster armies and the rules (read but unplayed) so I really have no excuse but to break them out. Looks fun and solo-able too.
