Looks interesting

Is it element based, or single figure? The photos look to be elements.
And any pictures of the book layout? The 1980s style DTP of combat patrol put me off those rules massively, so would like to know how these rules look

There is an update on the KS which addresses, my questions

Element based - standard size is 2” square, but works with 40mm square - this is good most of my 10mm armies are now on 10mm square bases, with the reminder on WM 40x20mm bases which easily make 40mm squares. Units are chunky though, 4-6 bases - which probably works with my figures.

There are also pictures of the book layout - which looks good, a modern feel to the layout and clear if simple diagrams. Not entirely sure 4 dot numbering is needed, but it at least means you can directly reference rules paragraphs.

Re-reading the ‘review’ above the initiative system seems interesting with the mix of dice and cards. And the use of d20 is interesting too - is this a single roll per unit per combat or a number of rolls?

Sounds like there will be more updates on the KS to explain the rules further - at this stage sounds worth £9 for the PDF!
