The six set Arcane Academics series is almost completed sculpting. One pack to go. I’ll start posting them here if thats ok. I’m not sure if they will be launched through Kickstarter or a special pre-order or maybe both.
Anyhow, here is Professor Mullincroft, our Astronomer.

Great start, Bob! I wonder whether we'll see Sir Reginald Hargreeves proxy as well... :D

I assume for UK-based buyers they will be available from Northstar at some point?

Most Certainly.

Brilliant, Bob, as always!
Will there be a line of people using various scientific instruments?
-
I love your work, Bob and these promise to maintain the standard. Look forward to seeing them all.

Excellent. :)

That physical anthropologist is great! He reminds me of a professor that I had back in the day.

They are fantastic 8)

Very nice Bob.
I particularly like the 'Anthropologist ' . I'll also give a nod to the 'Astronomers' glasses. A very subtle detail that takes years of clay pushing to know when you can play with an under cut,(and get away with it.)
Your 'Academica' is full of character. Im just wonderinghow I'd use it as I've already a 'Mr Porter' school master floating around with an almost identical pose ,only mirroring yours.
You'll have to forgive my ignorance or rather the lack of lateral thinking ( burning the midnight oil at the moment. ) But I can't quite place your inspiration for the forth figure.
Waffling aside . There's not much I buy these days as just as easy to make what I need. But these will be on that meagre list.

I also noticed the glasses and yes, they're a very subtle but well-placed touch, in a figure location where they won't go unnoticed once painted. Lovely idea, very well-executed.

Professor Elinore Pyncheons: I wanted a female academic, (my wife is a professor) so I thought about it and decided I would loosely base her on a younger Margaret Atwood. Then I gave her a cat.

Atwood the Canadian Environmentalist?
I vaguely remember a Canadian mentioning her once when I was merrily been eaten alive by mosquitoes also something about not anyone a moose. I'm not sure if I've got the right one. As I wasn't paying attention. I was more interested in the notion of drying my socks at the same time as making a brew, and the serious thought of whether my tea would taste of feet.
I'll definitely get this particular set .As it has more than just your finger prints in it. ( Its no secret I do like making a mini with a subtle human connection .It'll be nice to have a similar piece from a sculptor who's work I enjoy. )

Tin Shed, sounds like good times in the Canadian bush. ;) I used to work in the woods - it was a great incentive to get some higher education… Mosquitoes aren’t even the worst biting insects out there.
These new figures look great! I’m looking forward to figuring out how to incorporate them into my collection.

Brilliant work, Bob. Your sculpts just keep getting better and better, if that’s possible. This pack will be extremely popular.

Canadian writer, first and foremost. ;)
But also an environmentalist, yes.

told you I wasn't listening lol
There's only so many teabags you can stuff in your belt order without getting rumbled

Nice miniatures!
Bob, I had a mate stay with me in Australia years ago,his parents were academics from Victoria and knew all sorts of interesting people,Margaret Atwood being one (he was a writer too, though at the time it was advertising copy). I got him into Lovecraft :)

There are also some Student Investigators that are part of the Arcane Academics series:
